Ah okay. In that case think of something you want to code, and do it on paper. That way you'll truly know how much of the info is sinking in. Of course you'll still need to test it, but at least it'll give you an idea. There are various online IDEs you can try out, just use that search term and...

Thanks for the info. Are you coding a project as you read it?

    Looking for advice

My advice would be to do something that is linked to your course, or that would compliment it well. Success is that bit easier if you start of doing something you already know.

What would fellow Fastlaners do in my situation?

    RANT
Ah, I didn't see this answer before giving mine. I bow to Walter's experience, he is more than likely spot on with this one.

    RANT
Lol!! Yes! Didn't you know? You have to calculate the exact spin rate of the super massive black hole at the centre before you can give out a quote!! Haha, but seriously chill, what time of year is it dude? Yup. They have had a huge order from a very important client and they must get it done...

F*ck it, i'm learning to code

    EXECUTION
Ha! Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day ;) I guess github requires little to no creativity to use, so a straight forward functional tutorial should do it. I searched a couple yesterday, I'll find a good one and dive in. That's the first description that has made me realise...

    My Beginner’s Workout Regime

    HEALTH
Nice! And don't forget variety, try and find new exercises you find hard and mix them into your routine. The brain is the biggest obstacle to getting fit, if it gets bored, you will slack off and eventually stop, so keep it interesting!

The Thread of The Decade - Literally

    HOT! MINDSET
Absolutely no offence taken, it's a good question! The fact is, as I read your question I was about to answer how I would have probably answered before my little Popsicle, however I started thinking about what would make me happy, you know? Truly happy, and I realised that I could become the...

The Thread of The Decade - Literally

    HOT! MINDSET
My answer today is different than it would have been 10 years ago, because 10 years ago I didn't have a child, now I have a 9 year old daughter. So my answer is focused around her, obviously I want to be sorted and be comfortable in whatever endeavour I am in, however I just want her to be...

Thanks @lowtek, that was a pretty comprehensive answer. My problem is I've started loads of different tutorials (Java, python, C++, solidity, React, P5, etc. etc.), however can't make the leap to designing my app. I like your suggestion about the euler project (I'll google it, never heard of...

    My Beginner’s Workout Regime

    HEALTH
First of all, its great that you're looking after yourself, being of healthy body will help you have a healthy mind. Looking at your routine above (without actually seeing you perform it), it seems like you are mainly building strength, if this is your goal then great. However you might have...

I'm just wondering how this would work in the real world? Say I have an idea for a mobile app, however I have zero experience in coding, how can I use a tutorial to answer specific questions, when I have one overriding question which is; how do I code an app? I'm not being argumentative for...

18 Year Old Aspiring Entrepreneur with BIG Goals. Need Feedback on a Business Idea

    IDEA
Hi John, welcome to the forum! First of all you need to unpack your idea, you say you want to create a website for weed and weed products, so the number one question to ask is how do you plan on providing these products? Are you going to have these products as your own stock? Or perhaps you...

Well done. Interesting how the narrative has changed on this forum, when I started I made a similar thread, (or joined one, I can't remember) and the general consensus was "NO! Learn marketing instead!!" A big part of me wishes I ignored that advice.

£40 in my account with my trousers down

    INVESTING
Welcome to the forum, good to see another fellow UK entrepreneur in here. That's so lame people you know and trusted stole from you, did you at least file a case with the police? Anyway, it's clear what you need to do, you need to fold the first business, or sell it. You need to shed that...

I want to start a movie production company which will have branches all across the globe in 5-10 years.

He wanted to colonise Mars after he became a billionaire, I think if he had run around saying that beforehand, you would have been perfectly within your rights to call him delusional. I'd like to colonise a couple of the moons of Jupiter by the way, and my net worth is considerable less than 10...

I want to start a movie production company which will have branches all across the globe in 5-10 years.

I must say that I thought you were joking at first, however you seem to be serious so I'll give you a serious reply. Okay, so first I'll state the obvious, owning a production company involves producing films. It is possible to have a production company and not have one single talented bone in...

What Was/Is Your Favourite Coding Course?

Cool, thanks man. Did you get that code on Github? I must confess, I find Github a bit confusing, for some reason I just haven't got my head around it, maybe because I haven't had to.
