What is your method of learning?

    MINDSET FEEDBACK
I like this framework. For me, teaching comes after most of those steps. Once you’ve gathered experience, data, and formed a thesis, teaching forces you to organize your thinking and exposes the gaps that are still there. But knowing and doing are two very different things. One problem I see...

What is your method of learning?

    MINDSET FEEDBACK
Hands-on experience is great, but I've found that teaching a subject is even more powerful. Nothing exposes gaps in your understanding faster than having to explain a concept to someone else (to teach is to learn twice).

    The TikTok Chat Thread

    MARKETING CHAT
That’s another interesting perspective. I was looking at TikTok mainly as a marketing channel, but using it as a testing environment for hooks, topics, and messaging might be even more valuable than the platform itself. I especially like the idea of getting faster feedback before investing more...

    The TikTok Chat Thread

    MARKETING CHAT
Thanks for this perspective. Thinking of TikTok not as its own channel, but as a feeder into YouTube, is pure gold. Thank you. It seems like a highly asymmetric bet: little to lose, but potentially a lot to gain.

    The TikTok Chat Thread

    MARKETING CHAT
Using TikTok as a testing platform is an interesting perspective. The question is whether the results can actually be transferred to more established channels like YouTube or LinkedIn. As for LinkedIn, you’re probably right. It should be a better fit for my business. At the moment, we mainly...

    The TikTok Chat Thread

    MARKETING CHAT
Thanks for your perspective. I’ve tried Meta multiple times, both on my own and with professional help, and the results were essentially zero. My experience so far is that it’s not the right channel for selling high-ticket professional training programs. But maybe that’s specific to my market...

    The TikTok Chat Thread

    MARKETING CHAT
So far, I’ve largely ignored TikTok because my target audience is mostly 30+ and I assumed other channels like YouTube would be a better fit. Do you think it’s still worth creating an account and posting content there? Has anyone seen meaningful results with an older audience?

Choose Hard, Live Easy: The Art of War for Decision-Making (Release thread)

    HOT! BOOKS
Finally, I finished Choose Hard, Live Easy. I’m both impressed and overwhelmed. I’ve been running my own business since 1996 and have read nearly 500 books on business, wealth, and personal development. It has become increasingly rare that a book introduces me to concepts I have never...

What is your Decisional Fallout Condition (DEFCON)?

    HOT! MINDSET
84 points sounds great at first glance, and points like losing weight or changing eating habits seem manageable. But things like inner peace or the feeling that your biggest dreams may no longer be reachable hit on a completely different level. Those are not tactical problems. They go much...

What book are you reading? Right now. Post up!

    NOTABLE! HOT! BOOKS CHAT
I read No B.S. Time Management for Entrepreneurs by Dan Kennedy over the holidays. Two ideas stuck with me. First: punctuality, no exceptions. If someone doesn’t respect other people’s time, they don’t respect their own. I’ve become very cautious around chronically late people. Second: I ran...

What book are you reading? Right now. Post up!

    NOTABLE! HOT! BOOKS CHAT
I’m currently reading “Buy Back Your Time” by Dan Martell. Instead of pushing you toward selling your business, the book challenges you to build it in a way that makes selling unnecessary, because it shows you how to take back the time you usually lose to everyday busywork. I had been...

I’m systemizing the communication flow. Customers often asked to talk to me directly, so I defined clear decision boundaries and stopped that. Next step: trainers won’t answer complex questions outside of class anymore. We handle those in a weekly Zoom call.

New member from Germany – training business, Safety & Security

    INTRO
Hi Goran, for most people it means getting out of shift work, gaining more stability, and earning better money. Many move into higher-responsibility roles such as site manager or area manager. Unfortunately, very few use the qualification to start their own company, because in Germany almost...

New member from Germany – training business, Safety & Security

    INTRO
My name is Jörg, I’m from Germany, and I’ve owned a training business in the Safety and Security field since 1996. Before that, I worked for many years directly in the private security industry myself. Our focus is helping people move out of the low-wage private security sector by giving them...
