Seeking Health Pool/Insurance - Actual experience?

    OFF-TOPIC
I haven't used one personally, but I looked into it seriously a couple years ago. My wife was leaving her job that provided insurance, so I was making the choice between health pool insurance and our state marketplace insurance. The marketplace sucks (expensive HDHP), but I ended up going with...

What Are You Grateful For Today?

    HOT! MINDSET CHAT
Grateful for a supportive family. I hear so many people talk about how their spouse, parents or other family members discourage them, tell them to get a "real job" and shit on their dreams. My wife is always encouraging and makes sacrifices so I can pursue business. Same with my parents who...

Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
Yes, haha! I'm guessing the eggs were added to meet the protein requirement. I'm not on this diet yet, but I've had a history of upset stomach with too much fiber. From what I understand some people's stomachs can just be more sensitive to it. It doesn't bother me THAT bad, and I want the...

Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
Hey guys, I'm looking at switching over to a plan-based diet (probably vegetarian) and I'm putting together a meal plan. I asked GPT for help, but wanted to get some input on what you all eat on a daily basis. I'm trying to meet the following criteria: 3000 calories 200g protein/day 35g or...

Putting in the Work: Bootstrapping a Physical Product/Ecommerce Business

    EXECUTION
Good stuff. Looking forward to seeing your progress on this! Sounds really interesting. I used to work for an aerospace company and we would sometimes use 3D printed tools for forming sheet metal when steel tools weren't available fast enough, so stuff like this can absolutely work.

I'm an inventor. Should I go for better or cheaper university? (I have to)

    SLOWLANE
One of the biggest opportunities at uni is the connections you develop with other people. Something to keep in mind that might help sway you to one or the other. Also, I agree with @Spenny. You shouldn't do anything else with your business until you've built a prototype. Honestly, not even a...

    HOT! CHAT
I'm a fellow mountain biker, and it blows my mind seeing videos of kids like 6 or 7 years old hitting massive jumps. It's crazy how quickly you can get good when you start as a 2 year old haha! Would LOVE to own a castle someday. Ideally Italy or France. They're cheaper than you would think...

    Nonprofit Helping Korean Orphans

    EXECUTION
Figure I'd just turn this into a progress thread. Now that the website is all updated, I've just been focusing on different outreach methods to see what works best for us. Google Ads: In the past 2 months, we got 145 clicks to the website, but no conversions (donations). Looking at the...

Yeah, I watched and really enjoyed it. Did you finish the whole thing yet? It's funny how different (nicely) the competitors interact with each other compared to American contest shows like this.

Only watched part of the video, but Ive had some exposure to this. Im not Korean, but I lived there for 2 years and now run a nonprofit that helps high school aged Korean orphans. The pressure on kids there is insane, and they work harder than most adults I've met in the US including myself...

If You Could Start a Charity What Would It Be and Why?

    OFF-TOPIC
I started a small charity and we were operational for the first time this past year. We run a United States visitation program for orphan high school students in South Korea. Right now we're partnered with one children's home, but we're trying to grow and expand to help more kids in different...

Do I *really* need to cold call? (Growing a lead gen agency)

    MARKETING QUESTION
Try it and see what results you get. You'll never know which method is more effective otherwise. It sucks at first but you'll get used to it and get better over time. That's part of the process. A few years ago I was doing engineering design consulting work and spent a ton of time on cold...

Take it: Six-figure local service opportunity (Better than copywriting!)

    HOT! IDEA EXECUTION
I looked it up, and in my state I would need a plumbing license that requires 288 classroom hours and 8,000 on-the-job training hours!! That's the lowest level requirement too. Even if I'm ONLY installing under-sink water filters. Gotta love it.

Wow that's awesome. Gives me Steve Vai vibes \m/ Sweet! I played the sax (baritone and alto) a lot when I was in school. Jazz band was awesome. I went to a live jazz show recently and it made me want to start playing again. I still have my alto so I gotta bust it out. What kind of...

    Self-Doubt? This Is Your Competition

    HOT! MINDSET
Wow, that's awesome. I'm probably at 5-10 min/day and I do have a pretty good vocabulary at this point. I find it a lot of fun too, but hard to find the extra time.
