I think it's a good idea so long as you're careful regarding intellectual property laws. Don't want to get sued.

    EXECUTION
I was expecting January to be a loss of a couple thousand $, which would be pretty good. It's looking a little worse. The electrical in the shop has decided to mess with everything, so I'm overnighting expensive electrical components. Changing bookkeepers. Marketing performance is doing slightly...

I... Have nothing to do in the evenings?

    MINDSET
Why don't you use this free evening to explore completely random industries and groups of people. That way you have a better idea of the opportunities out there and ways you can apply your AI degree.

December and January are supposed to be our two slowest months. Revenue for Dec was up by 216.08% compared to the previous year and profit up by 507.18%. I feel good about about 2026, we're going to kill it.

Struggling and being an employee for my own business. High overhead, small to no profit.

    MINDSET
I love this reply. Especially about the lack of focus. At our previous location, our neighbor did vehicle wraps ONLY. He had 3 locations, and the only cars he was every working on were corporate or lambos. A couple miles down from our current location is company that does signs. They ONLY...

Funny you bring this up. I did a review of our costs from beginning of the year to earlier this week. They're up by 28%. 28% inflation in just one year... Materials, packaging, shipping... it's insane.

    I feel stupid WHILE learning

    MINDSET
The bottleneck is often our own mindset. You'll keep failing to learn till you internalize that failing isn't a big deal and you become relaxed.

#1 Sounds way too high risk since it doesn't look like you have anything in mind. So whatever you come up with, there's no guarantee people will actually want it. Then there's the customer education. If I want to buy something that does operation X, I need confidence that it will actually work...

I just talked to everyone I could looking for a business and customer and someone mentioned trouble he was having with a local machine shop. Did some research at home, it checked all my boxes, so I told him I could make his product for...

Every time a machinist wants to create their own products/business, it's always knives and/or fidget toys. At least this guy makes more impressive fidget non-sense than the gazillionth "tactical titanium fidget spinner".
