    heavy_industry Q2 health improvement

    HOT! HEALTH
I tried pure carnivore and then with milk and eggs. The effect of milk and eggs depended on the brand. Usually grass-fed brands had less effects and the fresher the better. It might not be the milk/eggs so much as what they feed them.

Stop reading about swimming and jump in the damn pool!

    GOLD! NEWSLETTER
Lol this is literally how I learned to swim. Mom got sick of me making her take me to the pool everyday then spending all night watching swimming YT vids at night, so I got thrown in the deep end.

    Industrial Businesses Megathread

    IDEA CHAT EXECUTION
I'm on my third coolant. All 3 said it was brass safe. One even advertised it as only for non-ferrous materials including brass, yet here we are. Didn't know it was the sulfur though, they all had it, I'll make sure the next one doesn't contain any. Thanks @Spenny ! Note to people looking for...

    Industrial Businesses Megathread

    IDEA CHAT EXECUTION
Any chemists or students with a penchant for chemistry? @Spenny aren't you a chem student? Here's a few more ideas from a small corner of my shop. Cutting fluids. They're supposed to cool the tool and workpiece, flush chips, and lubricate the cut. You could formulate some to be better for...

Building a Manufacturing Conglomerate Progress Thread

    EXECUTION
Today's the first day of my first employee working... I feel so liberated. I can actually focus on the business instead of grunt work. Also might have spent all morning on YT . Fixed the issue with the exploding cutters. If anyone wants to start a carbide tooling company please do, it's a...

Building a Manufacturing Conglomerate Progress Thread

    EXECUTION
The overarching goal: We're now the largest manufacturer of a niche product for a niche market in the world. I had to make some decisions this month that forced me to decide the vision for the company. A manufacturing conglomerate serving multiple markets in the consumer and industrial products...

Building a Manufacturing Conglomerate Progress Thread

    EXECUTION
Was up till 3am replacing the coolant and back at it since 6. 3 days worth of orders are unfulfilled. Then I need to finish setting up the ERP so I can start keeping product inventory instead of making everything to order. Then have to stock 45 SKUs. All needs to be done today. Back to work.

    How to become more charismatic?

    MINDSET
I've always thought your socials skills are apparent in your posts. I know me, and many other Gen Z'ers on the platform whose social skills are their main bottle neck, would appreciate reading a few posts from you on the topic if you ever have the time!

Building a Manufacturing Conglomerate Progress Thread

    EXECUTION
Been a little crazy. Material for the big order is arriving in a few days, two weeks earlier than anticipated, which means I lost two weeks of prep time and have been rushing like crazy. Did a few production test runs. Test run #1 the fuse for the dryer on the air compressor blew and ended up...

    Industrial Businesses Megathread

    IDEA CHAT EXECUTION
Thought I'd create a thread to encourage people still figuring out what to do to seriously consider industrial businesses that keep the world running but nobody ever hears about. I'll start by posting three different examples. 1. This is a tour of Diamondback Industries making explosives for...

    EXECUTION
Lol, big orders also means big expenses. Cost of raw material alone for this order is equal to my best month's total revenue. I'm projecting $4,250 in electricity costs. Won't have the time or money until after I get paid for the job. Though I plan to hire a marketing person first. Yeah, plan...

    EXECUTION
Update Orders: Got my first 6 figure PO from the wholesaler earlier this week! Kinda. Couldn't cashflow the initial order so the PO got split in to two POs with an extra month of lead time for PO #2. Financing/Capital: 6-8 months ago all my suppliers refused to extend credit terms for me and...

Product development finished. Now stuck at mold cost.

    SOURCING
Then you just haven't looked in the right places. Since you didn't say what kind of product it is, the only advice I can give is to go on Xometry.com, upload a step file of your product, and go through the different manufacturing process and quantities they have until you find something that's...

    YouTube vs Instagram?

    QUESTION
The only way to find out for sure is to do both and see which gives better results after 6 months. You can get around testing for yourself by checking out where your competitors are. Does a strong competitor have both YT and Insta? Which has more followers? Are they very active on one channel...

What do You think about this resume? Should I improve something?

    MARKETING
@heavy_industry You think telling everyone you're a pimp doesn't look good from a professional standpoint?!? Jokes aside, you're on an entrepreneurship forum. You have an accounting degree. That's a very valuable skill I'm sure you can use to add value with.

Product development finished. Now stuck at mold cost.

    SOURCING
What's the product from a manufacturing perspective? There are plenty of low volume options depending on what the product is. Worse per unit costs, but less upfront. Either way, how sure are you that people want your product? How sure are you that you know how to market it. It'll suck for you to...

    HOT! CHAT
Pretty common, happened to me twice. You should be able to appeal (don't remember where). First time they asked for gov issued ID and a video call, the second they just removed the ban.
