Dear diary, I'm so damn tired. Lol

    HOT! EXECUTION
Putting a system in place worked for me. Two hours of solid work early in the morning. Then, I can do more at night if I feel like it, but those are strictly optional. It gives me consistency and peace of mind. I know I did my part and have no guilt about resting properly. One day at a time...

Dear diary, I'm so damn tired. Lol

    HOT! EXECUTION
I like your energy BUT rest is also important. It's better to be extremely focused for 2 hours feeling rested than working with only 3 neurons for 6. It's a balance, it's good to work hard but be mindful that sometimes resting doesn't make you weak, it makes you smarter. Being said that, go go go!

Think for Yourself. No More Questions.

    GOLD! MINDSET
When you feel that someone does not value your time, resentment can set in. The typical case is when someone is not punctual. If a co-worker devalues your time, you may feel resentment toward them, or avoid interacting with them entirely (especially if the person is a habitual time waster)...

[Video] How I made an app and sold it for $65,000 last year

    HOT! SAAS / APPS
Saw it on Twitter. In retrospect, do you think that it paid off? Maybe not even the action per se of being locked in a hotel but the pledge of strong commitment to a goal. Cal Newport talks about this in this book Deep Work: “In all of these examples, it’s not just the change of environment...

30 Years Old: Time for a Reset

    INTRO
Cool story man, thanks for the introduction. I'm also a Software Engineer and knowing you can code it yourself can be a disadvantage. Maybe you can but that doesn't mean you have to. Focusing on the business, the problem you solve and the people you help is much more important than tech. Good...

Think for Yourself. No More Questions.

    GOLD! MINDSET
This is my biggest advice for Junior Software Engineers: Value others' time more than yours. It applies to anything you do. If you write, think, and edit to make the message clear and concise for the reader. Put your time so they don't need to use theirs. Serve others. Asking about a problem...

    HOT! IMPORTANT!
Reasonable decision to raise the quality bar of the community. I recently joined the forum and received tremendous value from the contributions of the most experienced members. The last thing everybody wants is for valuable members to go away. Thanks for this "unpopular" decision, it shows that...

Starting to create my business and want to update here on my progress

    MINDSET SAAS / APPS
I found these 2 sentences conflicting. And A website is a tool, not a business itself. You could find yourself learning forever before executing. What is your goal? Who are you helping? It's great to learn a new skill, but I would spend more time trying to be clear about what do you want out...

    Sport coaching / Dieting

    IDEA PEOPLE FEEDBACK
Your idea sounds very similar to what James Smith has built. Besides his very strong personal brand, he has a similar app with programs and coaches JSA | Online Personal Training I'm not saying your idea wouldn't work because someone else did it, I just wanted to mention it in case you didn't...

Dear diary, I'm so damn tired. Lol

    HOT! EXECUTION
I understand it's hard not to care... but there are only a limited amount of F*cks you can give. Also, you might have the time but not the energy. The model that works for me is: When I wake up, my energy bar is 100% and during the day it depletes. I wake up 1 hour early and the time for my...

Dear diary, I'm so damn tired. Lol

    HOT! EXECUTION
Given that quitting is not an option: Is there anything you can do to lower the workload? Either internally by just doing an okay-ish job instead of trying to excel. I always felt the need to give 100%, but rarely asked if my actions were sincerely aligned with my goals. Or externally by...

Think I have a limiting belief on how much volume can actually be sold per day…

    MINDSET
Devil's advocate: How do you know? Maybe they make money with other products/services. Maybe they operate with twice the margin so they need to sell only half the amount. Maybe they clear $5k profit instead of $10k. Anyway, sorry for being an a$$. I'm also curious to know how can we get this...

City cleaning - Business idea (need your feedback)

    IDEA FEEDBACK
Hormozi (I know, not the most popular guy in the forum) has a quote I love: "The first business you get into is not the real business you get into". In cleaning, finding clients doesn't seem to be the problem. Everybody wants to pay for someone to solve their problem Finding cleaners...

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
I love your detailed writing and how you structure the updates. We have a similar training and nutrition routine. I like to think of "Personal trainer = Driving instructor + Accountability partner". Once you know how to drive, you don't need an instructor anymore, so it's a good investment...

Dear diary, I'm so damn tired. Lol

    HOT! EXECUTION
Love your energy and dedication. I'm also a Software Engineer and it's a curse when moving from being an employee to owning a product. You need to shed all your beliefs on what good engineering practices are and focus on "validated learning" (check "The Lean Startup" book by Eric Ries)...

Mental masturbation is defined as “Intellectual activity that serves no practical purpose”. The illusion of progress without real advancement, a feel-good distraction that accomplishes nothing meaningful. The path of least resistance: staying busy with something. You feel good because you’re...
