Echoing this. When I joined the forum in 2014 I was running a small Google Ads community. I shut it down as I didn't enjoy it. Instead, I focused on providing a service to clients and posted loads of free content in here. A few years later someone said it took them 3 days of 8 hours a day...

Gold update. Focusing on systems to free you up more is great, as is hiring in help. I'm also using AI to analyse transcripts and it's a godsend. Try asking what aha moments they had and what you said to cause it.

It's awful. Their language is atrocious now, and the youngest two have lost the smiley faces they had when they were in primary school. "Ah, it's just teenagers being sullen. They all go through that phase." Or maybe that's what happens when they're thrown into a pit of 30 of them all...

    HOT! CHAT
On socialising... This is a bit of an issue and part of the reason we're taking him out of school. He was suffering from social anxiety and we were worried about him. He's in an all boys school and it has a great reputation but our son's don't like going to the toilet because it's full of...

I haven't fully moved my emails and files over to the Workspace account yet. I like the admin panel though, and will gradually migrate over. I'm looking forward to getting AI to help me write Google Apps Scripts to automate a few processes.

Here in Ireland we don't have to follow a curriculum when homeschooling. We just have to ensure his needs are met regarding literacy, numeracy, ethics, social, and exercise. He's 15 and can already read, write, and was doing 90%+ in his Maths exams. He despises learning things he sees no...

Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?

    GOLD! HOT! CHAT
    1) Staff / sub consultants to scale the workload - there is a huge skills shortage locally, meaning experienced people are far and few between, commanding a premium (which means less margin, more risk) Can you start by getting leads for other businesses/consultants first? Maybe you even get...

    SIDE HUSTLE
Yes, I've sold a few courses, had a few small paid memberships, and a few small paid email newsletters. I've never gone all-in on any of them as I came to believe it's better to serve the DIY or DFY markets and not both. Currently looking to sell access to an AI version of me that could...

Pivot of reality and how to celebrate?

    MINDSET
Not everyone wants out of the rat race. Some people just like grumbling. But then a lot do, but don't realise the biggest change they have to make is their own mindset. Someone once told me that business is the truest form of self expression. We don't get anywhere till we develop ourselves...

    Homeschooling Chat Thread

    HOT! CHAT
I thought I'd create a chat thread for those of us doing or interested in homeschooling. I'm hoping this thread can be like a small sub-community in the forum. We just started homeschooling our 15 year old this week. I'll add more details below. Curious who else is homeschooling or thinking...

60 days later, not one follower on X

    SOCIAL MEDIA
Why X? As suggested already, post to YouTube (and TikTok, SnapChat, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc). See where you get traction and double down there. I've about 1,000 followers / subs on both and would much rather figure out YouTube than X. They're almost the exact opposite of each other. On X...

    GOLD! HOT! CHAT
Other stuff: Last week: 1) Signed up to Google Workspace and set myself and my software engineer up with email addresses. I'm looking forward to gradually automating some of our processes using Google Apps Scripts that I'll get AI to help me write. 2) Hosted an insider call where @Dark...
