A lot of interesting information. This is interesting. I'm wondering 'why'. Is it the personal service ? Does the shopper need or desire to feel and touch the products they are shopping for ? Or...is it regarded as more of a social thing to do...something they simply enjoy ? And if so...can...

@Coalission ... I agree with trying different things. See what works. Summer's nearly here and so come the festivals. Hell...if you do well at them, you can 'hire' people on commission to help sell for you. Love this !

If I understand you correctly....you were asking retailers how much profit they make on a product ? If I were the store, I would not want to tell you this and may be offended that you asked. Can you get some numbers together, make an offer to them and see how they respond ? They should tell you...

@AllenCrawley Damn... This is one of my favorite threads !Thanks for the great information. Love keeping up on the marketing end. Here in MI even though 10,000 millionaires moved out last year, we still have about 170,000...not terrible. And 11 billionaires on Forbes list.

I will add Painters to that list as I'm doing some work for an investor and cold calling painters. No interest. I decided I will contact the small family, or one-man painter companies I see advertise in Craigslist...thought...they're struggling even more to make a dollar. Great thread...keep...

Job well done so far ! I like the 'reverse engineering' work. It will be interesting when you find a manufacturer and if they will sell to you. I would think they will unless they have a buyer that they make a lot of money from. Thanks for sharing this.

That's a great story but I wonder if it's the whole story. I'd be interested in the business end of it. I mean...she did one video and it just took off from there ? She must have hired consultants, advertisers, etc.
