Is minimalism a coping mechanism in response to stress?

    MINDSET
My Dad is an electrician and would hoard things in the garage and sheds. My mum would hoard things more inside the house. Both would hypocritically accuse each other of being hoarders  I wouldn't say they were like the people you see on hoarding tv shows lol, just too much stuff for my...

Is minimalism a coping mechanism in response to stress?

    MINDSET
I think I turned to minimalism in regards to things because my parents were hoarders. Then travelling for a few years made it even more a part of me. Doesn't mean I want my bank account to be minimal though.

The black Lambo I want to buy - Why am I not rich yet?

    MINDSET
I'm with you. I just want to keep having simple Toyota's that I don't even have to think about. I kinda like old classic cars though. I find it a bit amusing to see car reviewers talk about how much faster this is over that, I mean, when are you ever going to go that speed on a public road...

    Quit Alcohol. Try it.

    MINDSET
Yeah. One of them just lost a 250k construction job for failing a drug test. He had fake piss but didn't get it at the right temperature and got busted. It was a TOTAL effing pain to have to rely on someone that was hungover at work too.

    Quit Alcohol. Try it.

    MINDSET
Coming up to a year of no alcohol now. I'm so happy I did this, and it was actually kind of by accident. Maybe a few times in the first 6 months I kind of wanted to, like when everyone at a conference was having a few drinks at the end. But now I have zero desire. Actually less than that - the...

Congrats! That's awesome. Why not expand in a bigger area/city? I like Tommy Mello in regards to growing a service biz. His is garage doors. He also works closely with a guy that specialises in setting up SOP's for growth in service biz. Yeah a friend of mine has been stuck at 3 vans for a...

Nice! I can't wait to get a home theatre again. Perfect movie to test it out too. On a side note about movies, there is a new one out called Warfare from Alex Garland that is getting great reviews from Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. Which makes sense as Garland also had an Iraqi war veteran...

Tin Foil Hat Time: Are Aliens Here?

    HOT! CHAT
I actually just rewatched the first hour on remote viewing and it's pretty interesting. At one stage he talks about using it to successfully trade silver futures (1 hr 23 mins in). Most of the stories I've heard before but it was interesting to hear the mixed reaction he would get when reporting...

Are 20-40 Years Old More Lonely Than Ever?

    NOTABLE! HOT! PEOPLE
I get the same thing with a lot of my childhood friends. One guy who joined our group in our 20's though is awesome. His girlfriend and him are always up for a chat, always offer a room at their house when I visit their city and get pissed when I choose a hotel instead. We travel together every...

I've been seeing a tonne of thus guys videos lately, he's a car wholesaler and retailer. Blows my mind to see how much money people waste on cars they clearly can't afford. It's fun to see him negotiating with millionaires offloading a bunch of cars at one time though. This car is my...

Buying a lifetime subscription promotion for shortpixel image compressor ten years ago was pretty good value. Still going strong! All the other appsumo lifetime deals I bought have gone under now lol.

The true bogan Australian pronunciation would have been more like "anti-presso's" I also wonder if "smoko" is used anywhere else in the world

Yeah, doesn't work as well for me for sleep. Doesn't work at all actually. But an easy podcast or audiobook puts me straight out.
