Headline: "I was sleeping on friends couches, with $10 in my pocket, and now I'm worth Millions." vs. Headline: "I got a great education, drove a decent car and went out to eat at restaurants often, now I'm worth Millions." Which one sounds better? Have you tried setting goals? Literally...

    Creativity and Entrepreneurship

It would be cool if you shared the information you gathered so far - we'd be more inclined to fill out the forms. If creativity is the connection of seemingly unrelated ideas, then I would imagine it's very important. However, you know what they say about "ideas." Everyone has them...

    Can LinkedIn ProFinder Challenge UpWork?

    OFF-TOPIC
It's an interesting dynamic they have going on. ProFinder's customers in this case are the freelancers, but at the same time, they have to keep a steady stream of hiring managers coming in. It's no longer one sided. UpWork: And that's the fundamental flaw with these freelance sites. Real talent...

    Can LinkedIn ProFinder Challenge UpWork?

    OFF-TOPIC
Hopefully they can overcome the stigma that freelance sites have (cheap clients & cheap/shoddy work), and position themselves as a premium service. UpWork is great for finding developers, so they can still fill a need. Therefore, I don't think I'd want ProFinder to completely crush them. Let...

How Much Money Is Enough For You?

    HOT! MINDSET
I think it's about self awareness and calibration. According to hedonic adaptation theory, we tend to return to a neutral state after positive and negative events. You see people set ridiculously high goals all the time, and one of the reasons is to not achieve them too quickly. However, if...

    MINDSET
Willpower by Baumeister & Tierney is an interesting read that addresses your question indirectly, @MB2. When we wake up we have a battery of sorts. Performing tasks takes energy...mental processing. Ex: Should you take 10 min to do your laundry first or complete that report for your client...

What issues do you face with your WordPress?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Not an "issue" per-se, but there might be a better way to handle update compatibility between WP, themes and plugins. For example: - When there's a WP update, check theme and plugin version. - If plugins/themes are not compatible, don't update automatically, but provide manual override. - Also...

Youtube demonitizing channels on large scale. When MJ's right he's right.

This is fantastic - it's the SEO crash all over again. - Google changes something - People lose all their income and cry - Then the prepared ones adapt and survive Short term makes sense: - Less channels to place your ad on - Increase bids on the clean ones Dunno what the long term is though...
