If you can go back in time, would you still go to college?

If you need to some direction in your life, college isn't the worst place to start. You'll be surrounded by people who are in learning mode...where an atmosphere of discovery permeates the campus. (At least in STEM) However, we want to be careful here. Better solutions exist than going 50k...

Gotta be careful with that reasoning, however sound. SEO today puts more weight on human behavior, as opposed to technical dynamics. buy-stuff com vs buystuff com Latter is easier to type so it has the advantage, assuming all else equal.

Making Your Sales Experience Like That of a Fortune teller

    MARKETING
Involve your customer in the buying and/or development process. No tricks. A while back there was a top salesman at a windshield manufacturer. He sold more than anyone else at his firm, and during the annual company meeting, his peers asked, "How do you do it?" "I demonstrate to the customer...

Navigating thru a lot of Bullshit

What we don't fully grasp when reading advice columns is the other person's perspective. Think back to when you were in school. Sitting in those cheap plastic blue chairs, vigorously taking notes from Mrs. Tall and Mean. She went through that history lesson so fast, you couldn't even keep up...

    Mentorship

Mentors aren't something you pick out based on a profile pic and a short bio, like you're going on a Tinder date. Think about athletes who then go onto becoming coaches. Some of them end up being completely mediocre, or worse, in their retirement. I've had (have) a total of 3 mentors (in the...

    EXECUTION
The occupy movement is the best argument against the sidewalk. Great video - reminds me of the first time I really internalized the real world. Back in 08, when news outlets were filming the protests, the cameras panned into the mob. In the middle was a scruffy looking guy, dark hoodie with...
