Looks Like Atlantis Has Been Found...

    OFF-TOPIC
What makes you say it's Azores over Richat? Randall Carlson was supposed to do a lecture on the Azores. Thought I couldn't find much after a quick intro video that didn't present much in terms of the actual hypothesis. Aside from the Pillars of Hercules, the other telling mention by Plato was...

There's a stigma against online universities. Oh you went to an online college? Like that broke scam University of Phoenix? You're going into a room where 90% went through the traditional system, and they made it out just fine. So if you can't finish college, you're not up to the challenge of...

Looks Like Atlantis Has Been Found...

    OFF-TOPIC
Full disclosure: I'm researching this as I go along. Island Thera had its major catastrophe ~1500 BC. Which is much closer to Plato's time ~500 BC. But he seems to recall the events happening much earlier. "Let me begin by observing, first of all, that nine thousand was the sum of years which...

This is what the earth looked like at one point: And also This is my problem with this guy. Some of his arguments are easily refutable, and he spends little time addressing the other side. Ex: why the south pole? so far from where we landed the first time. conspiracy. wooo or..OR...

I was wondering if it's even a good idea to post this kind of stuff here. But by definition, I think we all have a deep desire to question everything. Even if we don't agree with it. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. - Aristotle Feel...

Looks Like Atlantis Has Been Found...

    OFF-TOPIC
Apparently one of those late night conspiracy theory channels, which you get lost in at 1am, put forth the most compelling evidence of Atlantis' existence. There's a part 2 to the video, but he just rehashes everything from the first. Only a few new pieces of information is that the city...

Centralization / decentralization discussion roundtable AKA "resisting big tech"

Reddit. I was thinking the exact same thing. I just don't see how it wouldn't devolve into that. Everything you described can be done with current tech. WordPress pretty much has everything covered in that sense....but then you have the centralization of content management systems lol. If you...

Centralization / decentralization discussion roundtable AKA "resisting big tech"

Convenience, and the entire basis of Google's algorithm is lateral linking. Inline lateral movement as you're describing it, requires substantial overhead. Aka higher barrier to entries. So now you're leaving out people who just want to set up a blog on a weekend, and making them seek out a...

Centralization / decentralization discussion roundtable AKA "resisting big tech"

I don't see how this solves the centralization problem. Just because you change the linking/aggregation structure of the internet, doesn't mean it's not susceptible to the same consolidation of power and services. You're also focusing on decentralization as the main selling point, without...

It's called smart money for a reason lol In regard to cryptos pump and dumps, they were easy to spot in a few select forums. So it was more of getting in before you even saw anything on the charts. Otherwise, if you waited for a "buy signal" you'd be in the dust. The lake has dried up though...
