Those AI companies dont charge nearly enough. Claude and Windsurf coded for 450k€ of software for internal usage (APIs, plugins, compliance platform, websites + translation services). And I pay 36€/month for both. ChatGPT generated for 10k€ of pictures (and I use it free) Gemini helped me save...

I need to buy a different machine, it is not very hard. The hard part is ensuring that it will make enough to pay itself back. I provide b2b manufacturing services. Honestly I do not remember where I read it exactly but I read and heard it so many times and I think now this is complete...

Price. I am in b2b services so it's mostly a matter of price. Sometimes urgency, but rarely as projects are organized two quarters ahead, sometimes three. A week ago, I had a call with one of the biggest companies in my industry in Belgium, and when I quoted my price, I saw death in my...

One of the things I learned here was to "not compete on price as it's a race to the bottom", but so far, 100% of the deals I've lost (and I've lost many) were due to pricing. I was too expensive. Granted that it's a matter of industry as well. You can't win in luxury by being the cheapest. But...

How would you turn a $400k–$500k inheritance into $2.5M+ within 10 years?

    INVESTING QUESTION
I would lock that money far away on an account and pretend it doesnt exist. Then I would start a business.

Nice to see more Europeans, welcome! In my field I've had to interact with a few Greek businesses. They have great products at great prices but they're really bad at selling to foreigners for some reason. Maybe there's something to do there.

Look for a gap in the market -> build the offer -> market -> deliver -> earn ----------------------- The software that I built for my business (APIs, compliance, traceability, WordPress marketing plugins, lead automation plugins) are probably worth more than my business itself lmao

I have to call a lot of companies to ask technical questions about their machines. So far, the only two types of interactions I've had were: 1. Nobody picked up. 2. The person who picked up didn't know the answer and "the colleague who does is not in here at the moment." Customer...

Yes, indeed, many great B2B websites. One of my fav examples is UIpath, simply because of how they've organized and simplified their menu.

I didn't say all b2b sites were bad. I said that those who are bad, are either bad companies, or extremely good companies. Also Palantir and Blackbird, despite being B2B companies, are very much "voter-facing" and so need a polished image.

A bad b2b website signals either very new, inexperienced companies, or companies that make so much money already that they don't need a good website. This is the website of one of the largest tech manufacturing companies in the world (Quanta Computer).

My take on LLM companies is that they are not worth the money that's been invested in them because of the following threats: 1. The open-source models are nearly as good at the proprietary models. 2. Running your own model isn't very complicated. 3. LLM companies are completely dependent on...

About ten years ago, I briefly worked in an Italian restaurant and one of the chefs there shared a book about a specific "trading method" he was going to use to get rich. Later on I came to conclude that a "passion for trading" is one of the biggest red flags for a man.
