Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

    IDEA
After searching for a while, I finally found an application in which I can present a service / product to Anytime Fitness, the largest gym franchise there is, but there's a catch: the application fee is $300. This is where it gets sticky. I do not have a made service yet, so if I submitted...

Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

    IDEA
Okay, so I am going through with this. The current problem I am facing: I have no idea where to even begin. The first step I believe I should take is actually trying to get into contact with the corporations / franchises. I need to pitch the idea and see if it's something that they will...

Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

    IDEA
I had thought of the same idea with locking someone out of their phone until they worked out. But that would come with major problems in regards to when the phone would be locked out since many people have flexible gym schedules.

Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

    IDEA
Oh, and I feel this type of program would work much better as a website that gyms have access to than a mobile app, for people wouldn't really need the app past sign-up.

Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

I like that idea. It takes away from trying to fulfill everyone's personal motivation (by the way, I found ~20 distinct reasons why people workout) and narrow it down to one exact motivator nearly everyone has: money. The program could be brought out by explaining the penalties make you come to...

Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

    IDEA
I'll create a list of very specific reasons why one is motivated to go to the gym. Perhaps with this, I can narrow it down to specific categories and build around that. Although the idea is funny and crazy, it would work for some people! Sometimes all it takes is a quick look in the mirror.

Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

    IDEA
A common connection I found throughout these threads is that they're all related to a FTE. As you said, I need to draw people to this product, despite its unattractive "hard work." I feel this is more related to the marketing side: how can I make people experience a FTE to use my product? And...

Idea needing feedback: keeping people accountable

    IDEA
Recently, I posted a thread about an idea for providing some sort of course or e-book about how to workout; it would include anything and everything of how to get into the gym and get started, attempting to make it as easy as possible. There is one big issue with this--everyone and their mom...

Creating a General 'Lifting Weights' Udemy Course

    HEALTH
Please read above, I've already made a comment in regards to Chapter 35. Just because it's something that everyone wants to do, it doesn't mean it should be avoided entirely. If I can build my presence in the fitness community, and not just be a gym bro, then I will have credibility and a large...

How to learn how web services work?

One thing I always get confused about is how certain things work. For example, programs that give you specific keywords with their search volume based on your input. What did they have to learn in order to make the keyword search engine? Is it a certain programming language? Programming in...

Building an Amazon FBA Business During College

    EXECUTION
For the past month and a half, I have been working on starting my Amazon FBA business (B2 Commerce). I have started to learn a LOT of new things; I owe that to this forum and an abundant amount of trial and error. So far, this is what I have done: - Taken a basic Udemy course: From this, I...

    Cigar Afficionados in the House?

    OFF-TOPIC
I believe I know what person you're talking about. Last time I was there, I wasn't quite of an age to be smoking cigars yet, but next time I'm down in Florida I'll check him out!

I agree with Levit. This is a very cool concept. A personal friend of mine has sold customized Jordans to rappers and has made a good amount of money (not sure of the exact numbers).

What's your Lambo? What's your WHY or PURPOSE?

    NOTABLE! CHAT
My Lambo is starting a successful business to avoid attending medical school. Though becoming a doctor would be rewarding and interesting, it's not the life I want to live, for the hours are too long: I would miss out on so much i.e. my future kid's lives. Not to mention, there is so much I...

Creating a General 'Lifting Weights' Udemy Course

    HEALTH
Read my last update. I feel being a "fitness guru" wouldn't be an appropriate title for what I'm trying to do-all gurus are "teachers" but not all teachers are "gurus." If anything, the course would have an aim of knocking down the views of fitness gurus and correcting them. However, I know...

Creating a General 'Lifting Weights' Udemy Course

    HEALTH
Update: I've thought a lot about this project, I've listened to your input, and I've read farther into Unscripted. Creating a course like this would require a large time devotion. Even though it is summer time for me, I have plenty of productive things to do all day--things that I wish I had...

The exact thought I had. Most resources I find online are incredibly varied. I find these resources valuable because I have a base to work off of, avoiding confusion or more questions stemming from the blog or video. This is not the case for people that don't know anything; they read one thing...
