Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
All I had to do was watch a few documentaries. People had told me about vegetarianism/veganism, but I didn't "get it" until I saw things with my own eyes. Also, what exactly are you scared of?

    HOT! CHAT
This past Sunday I finally took a moment to get out and relax in some good ol' New Mexican hot springs. (My dog has a brain tumor. The last two months of my time and energy have largely gone into his treatment and recovery.)

    HOT! EXECUTION
11/12 I've gotten a few more clients and have just passed $1k in revenue since I started getting myself out there as a dog trainer/sitter in August. I'll count it as a small win. I'm working on a simple website. With a few testimonials I think it will be good enough for now. I'm mostly using...

Could you find a way to combine the two? AI and men's mental health?

This is a ray of sunshine that I've been really needing lately. Thanks @BizyDad (@WJK and @Oso you also made me smile).

  I'm not really laughing at the post or AI response, but what got me going was @BizyDad 's laugh reactions

    MINDSET
You seem eager to start, to make changes, to grow, and it seems your mind is constantly thinking of what great thing(s) you could do that would both help people and earn you financial/time freedom. Which is great! But try not to get too overwhelmed and frustrated if it takes you a few months to...

At a crossroads - need help with business idea

    IDEA
Congrats and good job on your success so far :) My first thought is to try for your 2nd option. I've seen a handful of coding apps/websites, so even if yours would be better, my mind is initially more interested in your second idea because it seems a lot more novel.

Actually, that's not entirely true. I've been researching and implementing a lot. I'm starting to think that my dog's fresh healthy food isn't really species-appropriate. I've found one dog food brand that seems to be a lot more species-appropriate and it has some miracle testimonies of dogs...

    1/12th of a year at a time - a progress thread

    HOT! EXECUTION
10/12 Progress has almost come to a screeching halt. A couple of weeks ago we saw my dog have a seizure. A follow up MRI showed a large brain tumor. I'm in the Phoenix, AZ area this week getting him radiation treatment.

What is the best way to monetize this highly perishable niche pet product?

    IDEA
There are a bunch of frozen dog foods out there: Just Food For Dogs, Darwin's, We Feed Raw, The Farmer's Dog, Nom Nom, etc. There are also a lot of freeze dried/dehydrated options: Little Hunter, Badlands Ranch, Sundays, etc. I think they all are somewhere around $10 - $20 /lb. So, I imagine...

Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
Right. I guess I'm not used to having a safe place to openly be vegan/plant-based and my default is to defend the lifestyle choice. I'll remember this for next time, MJ.

Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
Genuine questions: Can you give me some examples of what nutrients I can't get from a plant-based diet? And by examples I mean non-biased (i.e., not funded by the meat industry or other parties interested in the success of the meat industry) scientific journal articles. So you're saying the...

9/12 My mind is too disorganized to put things into nice little paragraphs, so bullet points it is for this one: My business is registered - federal, state, and city. And I have a grip on GR tax and most of my other tax questions have been answered by talking to a business owner friend. The...

    MINDSET
Do you? You sound miserable.. For one, many many people end up in jobs or making businesses that are different than what they went to school for. Second, would you still call it a safety net if you ended up working a 9-to-5 because it was "easier" than working on your own business? Third, there...

At a crossroads... (recent college grad)

    INTRO
Sure. I was only trying to motivate the OP to think about longer term goals and not limit their future possibilities. Right now they may not want to hire someone - I only meant to caution them to not fully and forever dismiss the idea of hiring people. Same idea with $100k/year - yes, that's...
