Thank you guys, it seems we all relate to each other in some ways. Feels good to know that I am not alone.

The visual illusion versus the hidden truth...

Straight-to-the-point, solid post. It's funny how many people fall pray to this Illusion of Wealth - the hidden truth of a slowlaner's life (hey, sounds like a next book title, lol). Anyways, IMO there's no Illusion of Wealth at all - there are idiots who buy toys they WANT but... can't afford...

    The Price of Opportunity

    MINDSET
This post is not related to business and is in a way emotional. Even though I feel weird sharing it on this forum, it's better than keeping everything inside, I guess. I just have one of these stupid moments when I look at other slowlaners who work, have girlfriends, cars etc...and feels so...

    Classifieds Website

Good point, but here in Ireland craigslist isn't a 'best-to-go' place for classifieds. As I mentioned, my classifieds website is a somewhat niche and not a simple buy/sell classifieds.

    Classifieds Website

Hello Guys, Would love to hear your opinion about the strategy I should utilize in order to attract classifieds to my classifieds website. The classifieds website is somewhat a niche and not a general classified ads where people buy and sell stuff - I am not reinventing the wheel, but spicing...

Looking for an IT Business Partner

    INTRO
Hey Guys! I don't know if this forum is an appropriate place to directly look for a business partner, but I'll give it a go with the best intentions in mind. I have a great business idea, but the trick is that I can not code. Guys, if you are a good coder, or know anyone who is - and would...

Advice Needed As I Pursue A New Course ...

    MINDSET
If I were you I would discuss the possibility of opening your own firm with your wife. However, I do realize that she might possess a Slowliner's attitude and might not tolerate your ambition. IMO you should stay working FT and do some research on your potential business idea on the side. This...

Does this idea have any market currently?

    IDEA
No worries, let me know if I can help you with anything. Your idea sounds solid, don't leave it in the basket! As per your question, I have my own understanding of what idea execution means. To me, it simply means the process of turning your idea into a reality. I will post below few links for...

What to do about seemingly large competitors online?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Hire a Hitman. On a serious note, bear in mind that most large competitors do not have individualized customer service and don't know what's going on on the ground (i.e. they are slower to react to changing local customer demands). Think...why do some small business thrive... because they...

Does this idea have any market currently?

    IDEA
IMO your idea is generally sound,but.... remember that your idea depends on execution. One might have a crap idea, but an amazing execution style and BAAAAM you are a millionaire in no time. Just look at some ridiculous products, such as the stone pet, dafuuuq, it's a stone in a simple box with...

Motivation is not necessary for success.

    MINDSET
There's no need to over-complicate the importance of motivation. In my opinion, if we are going to debate whether one needs motivation or not, we should all have the same interpretation of the word 'motivate' - which is not the case in this thread I am pretty sure. In my own general opinion...

You don't need a business plan, a mentor, or money

Thanks for sharing. I have had many software development ideas, but rejected them all on the grounds that I am not familiar with software development.

    Add your gym rants here

    HEALTH
Lads and girls who regularly come into the gym to socialize by sitting on benches and gossiping. By doing so, it leaves other busy people wasting their time waiting for a specific equipment. In addition, although unknowingly, there are few guys who regularly engage in a protein farting...

What's the next step after creating the website ?

    LANDFILL
You don't even realize what learning opportunities you are exposed to! Just check internet, browse your local library catalog for relevant sources, check YouTube videos etc. Believe me, the process of learning is exciting - it's like building a puzzle, one minute you feel lost and then you find...

What's the next step after creating the website ?

    LANDFILL
Sorry for being a fun-spoiler, but I think you should have done more background research before implementing your business idea. The good news is that the internet is full of answers, however it requires a 'can-do' attitude :) All the best with your venture!
