Huge Security Alert: LastPass Suffers Major Data Breach - Here's What You Need to Know to Protect Yourself!

    HOT! CRYPTO PEOPLE
I use LastPass. From what I can gather, your vault is still safe, or at least as safe as your master password is secure. Now, something IMPORTANT to keep in mind is that the chart GPM posted about is both correct and also misleading. It's true that a random 15 character password of upper and...

Check out the book "Tiny Business, Big Money" by Elaine Pofeldt At least 1 user from this forum is mentioned in that book and it's essentially a book filled with dozens of examples of average businesses started by various entrepreneurs. My biggest criticism of the book is that it lacks any...

That's exactly what I did - I threw away all my socks and bought a bulk pack of black ankle socks. Literally the best thing I ever did for my wardrobe. No more matching or sorting or anything - whenever a single sock gets a hole or worn out I just throw it out. When the drawer starts getting...

    Why Real Estate is Bullsh*t

    REAL ESTATE
Passive doesn't mean "no work", it means your income is "disconnected" from the time you put in. You to go to work, put in 8 hours, get paid for 8 hours = your time is directly connected to your income. 8 Hours of work in, 8 hours of income out. That's a 1:1 trade. If you spend 20 hours...

    Why Real Estate is Bullsh*t

    REAL ESTATE
You can't honestly not know the answer to this, right? How can you ever be "stuck" with an investment? I own a rental duplex right now - I could sell it anytime I want to. I'm not going to though, because right now there are two lovely tenants paying me enough to not only pay down the mortgage...

If you've talked to folks with these issues, or had faced them yourself, you'll realize the situation is exactly the opposite - they are desperate to address it, but feel powerless to do so. Habits and addictions are the hardest nuts to crack. You can sell to these groups all day and night...

Idea Generation To Execution: Fastlane Millionaire's Step By Step Guide

    GOLD! HOT! IDEA
Not sure if you've mentioned this previous but I thought I'd ask since it's been on my mind recently - do you have any experience in new product development from some kind of a custom design/engineering point of view? I've started multiple businesses in the past and worked with manufacturers to...

    Gary Vaynerchuck

    INTRO
After watching a variety of his content over the years, my conclusion on the guy is simply that: 1. He genuinely cares about what he does, genuinely wants to help people, and genuinely believes that what he's saying is true and helpful to others. 2. The guy is a workaholic who operates at a...

Making sacrifice: how the hell do I do that?

    MINDSET QUESTION
Not to sound crazy here or anything - but have you considered that the sacrifice you might have to make is to hold off on starting a business until after university? If university is a major goal of yours right now, why not put 100% of your efforts into it? University isn't exactly a 9-5 that...

$21.48 It's $61.71 per kg, he bought 0.348kg x 61 = $21.48 Prices in my neck of the woods (Ottawa, Ontario) are insane as well for groceries. Seems like just about everything is a few bucks more than I'd expect. Just about every order I do is about 50-100% more than I would typically guess it...

BOOK RANT: ' Tiny Business Big Money ' -- PROS and CONS!

I bought it because of Biophase's inclusion in it. I think it's important to view books like this in their best context - if you were interested in possibly starting a business, didn't know where to start, didn't know what others did or what was possible, etc... Well then this book is basically...

Who wants to re-read The Millionaire Fastlane with me?

    CHAT
Looking closer, no - It has the typical cover with a "#1 Business Best Seller" tagline at the top but not "revised" or "10th anniversary" info. Most likely it was whatever the most popular version was before you did revisions/updates. Just googled the orange/green cover though - you weren't...

Who wants to re-read The Millionaire Fastlane with me?

Pretty sure I'm still rocking a signed first edition, lol. Or whatever the edition was that you were signing at B&P 2013. Could use a dust-off and a re-read for sure.

How to fix poor attention to detail and focus?

    HOT! MINDSET
@hammiesink - check out the book "Driven to Distraction" by Edward M. Hallowell. It's a relatively short book that describes various manifestations of ADHD far better than I ever could. It really helped me fill in some gaps when I was looking into it for my son, and made me realize that maybe...

How to fix poor attention to detail and focus?

    HOT! MINDSET
Totally agree. IMHO and experience - taking medication when those three are out of whack is not going to be nearly as effective. You'll just end up playing video games and dooms scrolling the news all day - except with intense focus. Your brain benefits massively from diet, exercise and...

How to fix poor attention to detail and focus?

    HOT! MINDSET
I don't know if this is a joke or not, but as someone with diagnosed ADHD and a son with ADHD - medication has literally been the "missing link" in my efforts to overcome the issues the OP faces. ADHD is an executive function disorder that most people laugh at, ignore, or misunderstand, but...

Phone Interruptions with Potential Sales are Driving Me Nuts

    QUESTION
As a former sales guy - suck it up and pick up the phone! You can get 6 new pieces of business for every 8 calls you pickup? Dude, come on. You know what's inconvenient? Making 100+ cold calls to land a sale or two. Instead you have interested business calling YOU. It would be insane not...

Quick breakdown of pitfalls for the business side of freelance copywriting?

    SIDE HUSTLE
I forgot to mention that one big perk (in fact, the main one over and above liability, IMHO) of being a Corp is legally and properly separating your business finances from personal finances. With a sole prop, you can treat it as different operationally, but legally they are they same. With a...
