You know what's most funny about this? You projecting your extreme views onto everyone else. Outside the US most people do not think in Left/Right, Facist/Communist terms. Why? Because our media has not (yet) completely brainwashed a huge portion of the population into an "us vs. them"...

    Google Hates The Fastlane!

    MARKETING
Yeah, but I don't think this is true for outside the EU. And even there they only did very reluctantly. This is only true for iPhone and iPad though, on Mac you can download from wherever you want, besides the App Store.

    MARKETING
Isn't that how Apple has always done it? You can only download apps through the Apple App Store. Yeah, in the EU they had to change it so that you can download alternative App Stores, but most iPhone and iPad users will never do that (me included).

Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?

    GOLD! HOT! CHAT
Last week: finished building the UI of the quick add and big parts of the underlying data structure, though working on the data structure is a somewhat ongoing process anyway, as I'm constantly tweeking, adding and changing things. Connected the UI of the quick add. Before you could enter all...

You are both right, I forgot to think about the fact, that MJ can not simply hit ignore on that thread. It's probably best to just keep it as it was for the longest time here and keep politics and religion out as topics.

While I believe that political discussions can really quickly deteriorate into screaming matches, having all those discussions in one isolated, ignorable, thread might help to keep political topics out of all other threads.

Absolutely. Thanks for pointing that out. Most things that media reports about is out of the ordinary and does neither represent the ordinary day to day life of a country, nor the ordinary person of that country. Most people are not on extreme ends in an argument, but somewhere in between or...

I know that most people have good intentions for what they do. But that's the thing: most people on both sides of an argument have good intentions. So, by arguing that one view is the actual good one (directly or indirectly), you basically say, that the other view is a bad one. And from their...

I remember until just a few years ago there were absolutely no discussions on conspiracy or political topics on here. Politics and all topics associated with it (like vax) are getting more and more polarized around the world, with the US probably being the most extreme example of this...
