World Travel - Is it one of your BIG goals/dreams?
OFF-TOPICIdk... traveling isn't something I'm too fond of. Stresses me out. By nature I'm more of a 'builder', not a wanderer. Stay close to home, build an epic life with an epic home and epic stuff. Customize everything I own, builds tools to build better tools. I don't necessarily need to stay...- DennisD

Becoming a self-employed copywriter
PUBLISHINGThis. When I was in broadcast/media college, I used go through old radio ads and commercials and try to recreate them from scratch. Some of the best damned education I ever got. When you recreate and rework original copy, longhand, it SEEMS silly. But you're realling giving your brain the TIME...- DennisD

Making at Least 1000 Dollars Per Month
HOT!Yeah I read through the thread and couldn't find where they felt offended. ::shrugs:: But seeing something like that directly after I spent a good 20 mins typing up my response makes me wish I hadn't wasted my time. Not being able to gracefully take negative input is a sure sign that positive...- DennisD

Making at Least 1000 Dollars Per Month
HOT!No. #1) Horrible attitude #2) Most of my college friends work at stop and shop as baggers. One guy was lucky enough to make it into the deli department. They've had their degree for 2 years. They haven't done anything with it. Because getting a degree is nothing to 'fall back on'. Ideas...- DennisD

Does anybody here make Youtube videos as part of their fastlane plan?
Well there's your problem. People aren't watching your videos because there's no incentive for them to watch it. The videos are all about YOU showing off your product. Would a stranger go out of their way to watch? Probably not. If Blendtec can use youtube to sell blenders, andybody can use...- DennisD

Whats your favorite beer?
OFF-TOPICWhen I was in college my girlfriend was 4 months older than me. The moment she turned 21 we started buying liquor like crazy. We didn't know what we were doing, but were excited to figure it out. My first beer was HORRIBLE. I purchased it due to identifying with the label. It was 'german...- DennisD

The giraffe riddle answer and how to fool the world into believing anything
FUNNYGullibility? Maybe. I guess I don't see too much consequence of the education level of the people throwing this riddle around. Despite the tensing I know what they were getting at and what they intended the question to be. The real lesson I take away is in the nature of viral activity and...- DennisD

Creating my first blog.... stuck with theme choice, HELP!!!
MARKETINGI love it. I'm using Thesis in conjunction with marketers delight child theme. SO good. I wasted a week learning how to build a theme from scratch using Thesis Blank, or whatever. I took a class in college on basic CSS/HTML. Other than that I'm just very bright and quick to figure things out...- DennisD

Creating my first blog.... stuck with theme choice, HELP!!!
MARKETINGThis is a classic sticking point. You'll buy theme after theme after theme and not be happy with any of them. I did it. It's only recently that I've become extremely happy with my own website, and it's something I build myself using Thesis. Concentrate on your content. When you start making...- DennisD

Holy Scam Batman! (Pricing and Profit Discussion)
RANTSo you're saying it's okay to be greedy, within reason? My first product was an ebook. I originally sold it for $2.99. I did a poll with my audience, I asked my friends what they thought a fair price was, etc. Many of my friends said that 2.99 was still too high, and I might want to consider...- DennisD
