What would you do with 5k?

I say follow richkid's threads to learn how to hustle. Lower expenses to 1K/month. Live off the 5K for 5 months. Learn how to hustle for month 1, Hustle for months 2-4. IF it doesn't work out by then, spend month 5 looking for another job. That's IF you have the willpower to take action during...

After Selling His Startup For $25m People He Barely Knew Started Calling...

    FUNNY
I'd like to say I don't care what other people think. In fact I'd LOVE to be that guy... who just doesn't care. It's just not me. I cant help but correct people when they say stupid things... I can't help but get involved when somebody's citing fake facts about nutrition, the paranormal...

+$$$ Was there a notable difference in external marketing efforts between pen name #1 and pen name #2? Presumably by the time you got to pen name #2 you were more versed in promotion, not just writing and genre assessment. Is there anything you know now to take the SAME book/blurb/excerpt from...

    FUNNY
If I got my payday for my years of hard work... you bet your a$$ I'd post it on facebook. I think about that every day, It's not for the attention, it's for all the people who told me "get a real job". For all the friends working as assistant manager in a mcdonalds looking down on me for "not...

    Anecdotal Motivation

    MINDSET
The most famous example of this is Edison. He knew that the concept of the lightbulb was right. He knew that it made sense that electricity flowing through a filament would glow bright... However, he didn't know what actual material would glow... just that there HAD to be one out there that lit...

Online Entertainment: NOW is the time.

I'm a bit excited. 3 days ago Hulu hired a new head of Hulu Originals... I don't know much about her but I have a good feeling. I wish my show was further along so I can pitch her. I'll work on it hardcore this week and try to wrap up episode 1. Now that twitch is intigrated straight into xbox...

You just scared the shit about me. I heard a song 2 days ago about somebody getting cancer and only having 3 weeks to live, out of nowhere. I was up MOST of last night just thinking about it... which is super unlike me. I'm usually a positive carefree upbeat guy. Now this. You have no idea how...

Can your IQ SCORE cap your ability ?

    HOT! MINDSET
I always did WONDERFULLY on tests. I can probably ace a test on HUNDREDS subjects I've never studied for just by drawing on general knowledge... but that doesn't mean anything. Quizes, trivia, test taking, evaluations, interviews. They're skillsets all their own. A quiz generally will test how...

Can your IQ SCORE cap your ability ?

    HOT! MINDSET
As I understand it, an IQ test is a metric of logic, which is only one component of overall ability and success. There's no comparable test for resourcefulness, adaptability, creativity, strength of will, sociability, common sense, willingness to execute, self confidence, ability to create...

Why Facebook fans, Youtube videos and outdated long copy will probably get you nowhere

    HOT! MARKETING
The long videos arent effective because the products they promote are digital. What makes the videos work is effective copy and storytelling. Long sales videos can be just as effective at selling products if they're positioned correctly. Fat sick and nearly dead was an hour long movie, and...
