    How not to cold message

    MARKETING
I understand this approach but it can take way too long to build a business like this especially if its at a low price point. I recently spoke to the founder of Intercom, Des Traynor and and this is what he told me. Yes, I literally just asked. I think we had some early feedback chats, but...

    How not to cold message

    MARKETING
Yes I agree, I think no matter what you way approach the conversation (if you're really after them to try something or sell them) then they'll smell it. Mind if I ask a quick question? - Curiosity means they'll often say yes, but the barrier has come up because they think they know whats coming...

    How not to cold message

    MARKETING
Yes I get that. The advice route can take more work on the back end to try and get them to the point of trying your product. Here's what I'm currently trying which is similar to your idea. Hey John, Noticed on Google that 5 Star Cleaning Services has just 2 five star reviews. Do you have any...

    How not to cold message

    MARKETING
Absolutely correct and you can end up down that rabbit hole if you're not careful. If you ask for their advice by taking up their time with a call, you get a lot of pushback. Ask a simple question, something they can quickly answer with a yes or no. What I find works better and saves time is...

    How not to cold message

    MARKETING
If you're in the process of launching a business or a relatively new startup, asking for advice can work well in cold outreach messages via email, messenger etc. When I first started I assumed it be a lot easier than it is, and a lot of the time it's not just the content of the message that's...

    How not to cold message

    MARKETING
I’ve been on the receiving end of exactly the same messages as Andy shown above. Soon as someone reaches out like that I don’t even reply. I also agree with Black Dragon in that it’s difficult to come up with something that doesn’t sound like spam if it’s not a problem for that person. Hence...

How to proceed when prospects say they are not interested

    QUESTION
When doing "sales" prospecting they'll say no when your offer isn't good enough usually. Also these people are getting hit up by lots of people every single day mostly all saying the same thing. Take a step back, as you said these prospects may really benefit from your service if you could just...

    INTRO
Cut the number of services you offer, and focus on just one. ie website design or facebook ads or whatever. Focus on one niche. Reduce the number of staff and create a systemised business where you become the expert at that service in your niche.

Spend your money on diesel and coffee

    HOT!
Yes I do agree, I think the key is to get that initial conversation starter correct. Whether thats on SMS, phone call, in person meeting. I think there's always going to be some scepticism when someone you don't know approaches and asks any question even if it's about them. Do you think theres...

Not yet, I've only really just started on linkedin. Been focusing on cold outreach. What's your opinion on surveys Andy? As in reaching out for someone for help, but instead of asking them for time on phone seeing if they would complete a short survey?

But what if I don't like Coffee?...... tastes like what I can imagine crude oil to taste like. ha anyway enough of my weird taste buds. On a serious note there's so much gold in this thread from Andy and others. I think it's even more relevant these days when everyone is getting hounded from...

How long are you legally allowed to stay in Portugal for if you go? For us Brits as somebody else mentioned above it's harder to move somewhere permanent now in the EU. We can only stay 90 days out of last 180. Brexit voting idiots but thats for another day.

How to create a killer offer to which people will feel stupid saying no?

    QUESTION
Sorry I didn't word it correctly, I meant something along the lines of I've launched a new product and i'm looking for people to test it and give feedback. However I do understand those objections could be going through their mind. Is this soft enough? ------------------ It can be...

How to create a killer offer to which people will feel stupid saying no?

    QUESTION
Aren't you running the risk of losing them by not being able to convey enough value on the info you send over? A lot of data i've been reading recently on cold email says get them on the phone. Although I'm going off topic here I guess.

How to create a killer offer to which people will feel stupid saying no?

    QUESTION
Here's an offer I seen from a website designer recently: Feel like paying thousands for a website with no guarantee that it will work is a bad deal? Website companies love that model. They build your site, hand it over, and have no accountability for what they’ve built. We’re changing that...
