Does being good at your job have anything to do with being good at entrepreneurship?

Depends what "being bad" at your job means. A lazy worker who procrastinates, get's nothing done, blames others, never finishes anything, talks big and delivers small will almost certainly be a bad entrepreneur because they have bad work ethics and habits that will translate directly into their...

Absolute best Nootropics (Smart Drugs) for boosting Motivation, Memory, Focus and Mood

    MINDSET
Most of my research does certainly focus around methylphenidate, so I may have gotten my lines crossed, but a very quick wikipedia search does claim adderall uses reuptake inhibition: "Amphetamine improves endurance and reaction time primarily through reuptake inhibition and effluxion of...

Absolute best Nootropics (Smart Drugs) for boosting Motivation, Memory, Focus and Mood

And water is one atom away from being the explosive gas hydrogen. Table salt is one atom away from either being the explosive mineral sodium or the poisonous gas chlorine. In chemistry you can't just say say something is "one atom away" from something when trying to make something sound more or...

WARNING ! Everything you learned in school about writing is wrong

School largely teaches you formal writing techniques - which is a very important and valuable skill. When you work with professionals in a business environment, formal language is expected more often then not. It shows a level of professionalism and intelligence that other professionals like to...

First time trying to start eCommerce / Amazon business at 40

The world itself is filled with private label products - I don't get this sentiment? Private label companies can do this in many ways: - Changing the packaging (make a round tin into a square one and you save a ton of space and make shipping and storing easier) - Reduce the price (less...

First time trying to start eCommerce / Amazon business at 40

I would rephrase that goal to be: "My goal for the next 6-10 months is to invest (the amount you are comfortable with) to learn the business as best as I can and optimize it every step of the way. I will reinvest any profits back into this business as I don't need it to survive. Any tools I use...

What’s your favorite set of kitchen knives?

    OFF-TOPIC
This is where personal preference really comes into play and how it feels in your hand - At first glance I personally really don't like the lack of a pronounced "pinch grip" area on that knife. Looks like it tapers forward too drastically and far away from the handle. Personally I prefer...

What’s your favorite set of kitchen knives?

    OFF-TOPIC
I was floored when I first got my chef's knife. It was razor sharp out of the packaging to a level I've never seen before (trying to learn how to use a whetstone recently to get it there again.). I remember moving around my kitchen with the knife and accidentally sliced a bread bag entirely...

What’s your favorite set of kitchen knives?

    OFF-TOPIC
As someone who cooks an awful lot (and loves it) - this is the same advice I'd give. Honestly, you don't even need the "best" knives in the world. I own a Henkles but I've heard nothing but good things about the Victorinox as well. Learn to hold to the chef's knife properly and learn to cut...

Does Every Multimillionaire / Billionaire Lose Touch With Reality?

    HOT! PEOPLE
Reality is a fun term, because everyone seems to have their own! Seriously though - a lot of the social anger going on today is the result of everyone judging everyone else by their own standard for reality and demanding that the world see theirs as the "one true" version. A billionaire does...

Fiance is calling my business "his/our" business, threatening to sue me

    HOT!
I don't throw the word around much either - I think today's society has become FAR too emotionally sensitive and coddled. That being said, I think this crossed the line from "douche" to "abuse" the moment he went from not believing in her (douche) to threatening legal action and trying to...

Fiance is calling my business "his/our" business, threatening to sue me

    HOT!
This is how many abusive or just "bad" relationships go. Get drunk, beat her, wake up, make her breakfast, blow her a kiss, call her to apologize at lunch, come home, beat her... (beating was just an example, could be put downs, being a jerk, ignoring, gaslighting, whatever...) I'd agree...

Fiance is calling my business "his/our" business, threatening to sue me

    HOT!
Yeah, this makes no sense. What you've told us so far about him: - Your fiance is unsupportive of your ideas - He's jealous - He saw you may be onto something - He threatened you - He's now blackmailing you for a piece of the pie by refusing to help you unless he's in it on paper What...

    Is this normal in sales?

    SIDE HUSTLE
In my experience, this is likely the problem. Asking to be sent information is the business version of "sorry I'm just sitting down to eat". It's a polite "no". An easy out. Nobody reads the information you send so making this ANY kind of priority is a problem point. I'm not a website...

Why are there no “guru” courses on carpet cleaning?

Rohan Gilkes is basically the leading guru in the local business space. He's taken the idea fastlane by starting up companies that make the harder aspects of local businesses easier (like appointment scheduling software, high converting web templates, app tools, etc...). Honestly the local...

Selling my product on Amazon.com from Canada

To be clearer here, "big mistake" means paying the highest tax rate possible on your first dollar. (Ask me how I know...) I've done this / do this. It's not hard. Amazon's accounts are "unified" now. Meaning your one account gives you access to canada, the usa, and mexico. When you're ready...

Balls deep into slowlane at 18

    SLOWLANE INTRO
I'm so confused. What does "homeless" mean? Are you on the street with a phone or are you living with friends for free? Where's your family? How can you afford to go to college? Why are you worried about 20 hours of work per week if you already work 65 hours? Where's the money from the 65...

What has been your family's reaction to your entrepreneurial activities?

Honestly, it's about the same as talking to most people about any other job. Nobody really wants lots of detail because work is work and unless there's a cool story behind it - nobody really cares. My buddy is a building technician - and sometimes a cool story comes up that's fascinating, but...

What's going on with Elon Musk? Eccentric or going mad?

    HOT! PEOPLE
I've noticed a marked increase in hate directed towards him these last few months. Lots of name calling, challenging him, criticizing his treatment of workers, saying people should stop worshiping him, etc... He's also pretty well known for being snarky on social media - calling out other...
