This is more simpler and much better advice compared to "Go to College and hope to have a job afterwards".

    Have Smartphones Destroyed Humanity?

    HOT!
The way to deal with FOMO is to realize you are not really missing much. What people post on Social Media is fake, it is like augmented reality and even if you feel you are missing something at the moment you might get it later on, there is an abundance of opportunities out there and feel FOMO...

    One Meal A Day(OMAD)?

    HEALTH
Would Gatorade accomplish the same function? And what about workouts do you recommend working out after or before the meal?

    One Meal A Day(OMAD)?

    HEALTH
F*ck it lets do it haha I will give it a try and take baby steps, first doing 14-16 hours fasting and then moving further to OMAD

    One Meal A Day(OMAD)?

    HEALTH
Can you ensure sufficient calories intake with just one meal a day?? I am willing to give it a try, also because just eating once per day saves you a lot of time and money hahaha.

    One Meal A Day(OMAD)?

    HEALTH
I tried doing this (12 hours fasting) but I lose too much weight and thats not a problem for me (I am an ectomorph looking to gain weight) however I did feel with more energy and mental clarity. Could anyone share their experience of gaining muscle mass with intermittent fasting? That would...

Habit changer: TV is a pitiful waste of time

    HOT! MINDSET
Very good it is amazing how a simply book can impact your habits right away. My recommendation: just throw the TV away or sell it :D it is a major waste of time and you already know what you should be doing instead.

    What habit changed your life?

    HOT! MINDSET
Meditation and journaling, it gives me more perspective and allows me to be more self aware. Before meditation I was still quite an organized way but my emotions would affect me 5x more, especially anger.

What are people NOT talking about anymore?

I feel things like Virtual and Augmented reality still are in baby phase. The technology is there but it has not been massively implemented.

Atomic Habits, by James Clear (Review & Discussion)

    HOT!
This might be a simply hack yet I find it very useful in order to implement habits or reminder about stuff I really have to do . When adding a new habit to your life, use the Reminder app on IOS (or any similar one) to make the habit stick. For example you want to start doing Yoga in the...

Atomic Habits, by James Clear (Review & Discussion)

    HOT!
I really liked the book and for someone who is not used to Habit literature/books (Charles Duhigg, Nir Eyal for example) it can be life changing, but I felt a lot of the things he talked about I was already familiar with. My favorite idea was about Habit Stacking and the 2 minute rule

What Countries and Places Offer the Best Life Quality?

    OFF-TOPIC
I really like Gabriel Wyner techniques, it is not a magic pill you have to do the work and use Anki or any other SRS to thrive. My advice would be to initially focus on communication, a lot of people worry to much about the 4 aspects of learning a language in the beginning and lose focus on what...

What Countries and Places Offer the Best Life Quality?

    OFF-TOPIC
Also a not too obvious tip I can give from my experience (I have lived in 8 countries up to date) and what I am reading at the moment (The Culture Map-Erin Meyer, recommended reading) is to be crystal clear about cultural differences. These are some factors to take into consideration, you might...

You don't need to be an expert

    HOT! MINDSET
This is brilliant advice and I can see applied it to some past/current actions in my life. I have been a tennis coach and spanish/english teacher without any kind of certification (currently getting a certification in spanish teaching though). As another forum member posted earlier this week...

What Countries and Places Offer the Best Life Quality?

    OFF-TOPIC
A big factor with Switzerland and some of the Northern European countries is people´s behaviors. For someone used to a more warm culture ( latin culture for example) it is difficult to adapt to people´s behavior and general coldness of others in how people relate to each other. Do not know if...
