I've been at a cold calling job for a week now in real estate. Know what I noticed? The fear that I've had of picking up the phone to make sh*t happen, that I've had since I was a child, is freaking GONE. I no longer have a fear of picking up the phone and calling someone and getting...

On my way to fastlane. Business degree obsolete?

    IDEA
Here's an interesting take on this - Peter Thiel runs a program called Thiel Fellowship that gives entrepreneurs $100,000 to drop out of school and work on ideas. I think that should tell us all something about business classes if a billionaire is talking about how entrepreneurs should be...

$100k to spend in 12 months

    SIDE HUSTLE FEEDBACK
This sounds great. To be honest, from an outsider looking in, acquisition seems awesome. Thanks for recommending. Seems you don't need to "motivate yourself" to do the work when you buy the business.. Once you have the business you'd better get the hell to work or else you're gonna let down...

    MARKETING
I felt an intense fire of WTF recently thinking back, and figured it may be valuable to share it here. I am half-way through Gabriel Weinberg's book "Traction". Holy mother of god, I feel conned by marketing gurus. Storytime: When I was running my (small) video editing company, I was trying...

I don't think I could've asked for a better explanation. Wow. This makes so much sense. Almost like a "duhhh" moment for me. Can't believe how much time I've spent fussing over this in my head. My problem.. I think.. Has been that I was looking at these small problems to solve.. in areas where...

I've got a question about something that's been confusing me a bit. The advice I keep getting, constantly, whenever I talk to someone successful.. is something along the lines of "if you're going to focus on an idea, focus on something that you're gonna dedicate a decade of your life to" But...

What YouTube channels do you recommend?

    MINDSET HEALTH
I think the thing that is very underrated on YouTube for our community of entrepreneurship here is people that don't actually have YouTube channels but are still very successful. For example, Jason Cohen of WP Engine. He is not a YouTuber, and he does not have much financial incentive in giving...

I have been there before when coming up with video titles. It's a completely selfish thing when you're trying to get views. Chances are this guy sat at a table brainstorming what video to put out next and thought "what is everybody saying that I can say the opposite, which will cause a war in...

Question for programmers out there - What exactly is "learning by doing" or "moving the needle" in terms of truly understanding a programming language? I am making great progress on Codecademy (python), but the one thing I've had to face is that everything is right in front of me wrapped up...
