    SEO AMA

    EXECUTION AMA
Make sure these sites don't share a template footprint, don't share a google analytics or webmaster tools account, and if you have not used privacy on your domain registrations, Google will know they are owned by one person, and this is penalty area. Google also publicized that keyword URL's...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
OK, this is it. Last post from me in this thread. Summary 1) If you have no money, learn to market and write copy, not to program. Shorter and smoother road to getting some $$$. 2) If you want to learn to program at a pro level - plan on 3 years, and hope what language you picked is still...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
I've been programming for 32 years now. 15+ Languages, 6 figure income as a coder (in the 1980's when that was real money), CTO of multiple companies, managed 100's of REAL programmers. I have been waiting for 15 pages for someone to finally point this out. MJ has been the model for all these...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
sigh.... 2 years ago the few months before this thread started, every 10 days or so, someone was showing up on the forum saying, What language should I learn? What book should I read to learn to program? I have no money, so I am going to learn to program so I can create a site like Facebook...

    Making money with Forum website

You might start with something like a questions and answers website like Quora, or Yahoo Answers but focused to your niche as you get your traffic built up, and build some rep as an authority on the subject.

    Making money with Forum website

Yes, probably. Good forum software is a few hundred dollars. but it is a huge time suck and you need 15-20 devoted people that will post on a regular basis. Nobody goes to a forum with no posts, you can't posts until you get a lot of people. See the problem? For a typical niche, if you use...

Accepting credit card payments on your site

    WEB/DIGITAL
Your membership plugin will dictate what payment processing will be supported. There are many, but I have used Amember (www.amember.com) and like it. It allows various subscription levels and supports many payment methods. If most of your client base is US, paypal is hard to beat. If you...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

I don't disagree with this at all, but that is not what this thread is about.

    SEO AMA

    EXECUTION AMA
As long as there is search, people are going to work to be #1. You phrased that like you think SEO is not about making good content that people want to view.

    Support of spouse/significant other?

    HOT! PEOPLE
Watch the movie Lethal Weapon 4 with your husband- Danny Glover's wife in that one is writing romantic fiction via a pen name and Glover tries to cover up the secret. Maybe he will recognize himself. Plus stuff blows up and it is pretty funny action adventure.

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
But you are going to teach yourself to program. Because you can learn to drive well enough in 40 hours of focused effort a skill that will always have value, it will never get out of date. Insurance is cheap for when you screw up. A chauffeur costs you money forever, for some executives it is...

    SEO AMA

    EXECUTION AMA
    1. How important is video in building authority? 2. When redesigning a site, and URLs will change, where is the best place for 301 redirects, robots.txt or .htaccess or Apache config files. 3. What is the most overlooked strategy in getting and maintaining rankings?

    direct mail?

    MARKETING
Direct mail is great, but expensive. Unless you are mailing out several thousand letters to a pretty concise set of zip codes you will be at least 40 cents just to pay the postage for each letter. Buying a list in smaller quantities will run you 5 cents to 5 dollars (or more) a name, depending...

    ===> Exclusive B&P 2014 Ticket for Sale <===

    MEETUPS
Just a thought, but a couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to go to an event that was $2k for the the ticket, but on day one they gave you a check for $750, and the final day another check for $750. With the combined purpose of discouraging the scalpers, and encouraging full...

Anyone Have or Currently Creating a Niche Site 'Empire?'

    WEB/DIGITAL
Google is rewarding authority at the moment. Creating good content that gets linked to from other authority sites, builds that authority. Very hard to do when you are "spread out" with a bunch of sites. Get it down to a couple and focus and don't take shortcuts. Get efficient enough you...

    Kickstarter Marketing

    MARKETING
You can certainly use a veiled approach to developing buzz. If your product helps bodybuilders gain muscle mass faster, get a domain that has an outrageous claim as the name, like, bodybuilders-get-huge-faster-than-ever.com, then put a countdown counter and an email form, and social share...

    Kickstarter Marketing

    MARKETING
Get guys with big email lists in the industry to send out a blast when you launch your kickstarter, or if you have a really good relationship, send them to an advance page and start building the hype ahead of time. You might have to write a check to make that happen, but that is your market...
