F*ck it, i'm learning to code

    EXECUTION
I guess that could work, I think i'm still unsure of what skills i need to show in order to get hired. Would having functioning smaller segments on github be enough? if so i could easily start working on those and then just reuse them when building my actual MVP.

F*ck it, i'm learning to code

    EXECUTION
February has been a month of uncertainty. I’ve been learning ReactJS and progress has been slow and it's been getting harder to drag myself in front of the computer, not because i find it difficult but because my intentions have not been clear. I’ve had to take a step back, I've had to really...

F*ck it, i'm learning to code

    EXECUTION
Update It's been almost 2 months of actively pursuing this and i have to say, the more i learn the more fun it gets. I'm not tracking my time anymore, but i'd guesstimate a solid 3-4h average per day of putting in the work. Being able to add a backend to my previous projects has been eye...

How i cheated the system and got an apartment

Thanks! :) I'm not in Stockholm, but it is one of the major cities. most apartments in the area are about $900-1500/m, but this is only a small studio apartment. Even so i'm going to be neighbors with people a lot more successful then I, so $550/m for this location is crazy. I think London and...

How i cheated the system and got an apartment

A couple of days ago i decided enough is enough. I've been putting this off for 2 years now, I'm 21 years old and still living with my parents. My excuses for not moving has been in line with "I'll move when i can afford the penthouse". But 2 failed business in and I can see the lack of faith...

    Using Memes in Marketing?

    MARKETING
based on my personal experience it works for engagement, but if it's sales that you want it's the wrong strategy. Edit: It might work great for some niches and for others like the ones i've worked with it doesn't. Best way to find out is to try it.

Learning in Native Language or English?

I remember reading an English copy of the first harry potter book on vacation when i was about 10-12 years old. Once i got back home i went to the library and picked up the second one in Swedish. Certain changes left a bad taste in my mouth and ever since then i've stayed away from translations...

F*ck it, i'm learning to code

    EXECUTION
Some thoughts on learning through video courses. One of the things that hindered my progress at first, and I'm glad I discovered this early on. Is that when learning through video tutorials i would constantly work hard to code along with the video and “keep up”. This is the reason why I had...

F*ck it, i'm learning to code

    EXECUTION
Update I’ve come to realize that my initial plan of updating this thread every week won’t be of much value and will only serve to waste time. I’m keeping a “coding journal” and also tracking my time using “Toggl”. So far i’ve been averaging 3-4 hours of coding/learning on work days and 6-8...

How to escape consumerism and have fun without spending money?

    MINDSET
Seems like you have a lot of guilt over spending money. I'd work on that. When it comes to saving it doesn't have to be complicated, just start with putting 10% of your earnings into savings first thing every month. Personally i increase my savings by 10% every 3 months to make sure i always...
