    What can I offer him.. Yes, I struggle with this since he already has pretty much everything at his fingertips, lol. Perhaps I worded the original question badly. I'm not trying to 'take' anything from him. More likely trying to earn an apprenticeship. But why should he give me even that?

    Oh yes, and the 30% tax on dividends as well... I'm a first time trader. Given the high tax, and the fact that there is no way I'd start off with 25k, should I just forget about it and trade locally instead?

    I'm a general practisioner only, and I could retire in around two years, and I'll be 35, so... Anaes is -EXTREMELY- stressful, lol. In some situations, if you fail to intubate, set an arterial line, etc etc. in a short amount of time, the patient is a goner.

    True dat. He was influenced by me to become a doctor in the first place. He's primarily in it for bank (he admitted it). I want him to see there's more fastlane ways to make it, that's all. I'm not exactly trying to 'stop' him, just want him to see alternative paths and let him decide...

    Nah, it's an investment piece. I'm renting it out, but the recession has affected rent $$ too. What I'm lamenting right now, is that I could have gotten it cheaper if I waited til now. I do realize fastlaners find opportunity (very good ones, in fact) in recession. That's why I'm asking this...

    Almost all my excess income is currently going towards my mortgage, which I expect to pay off in a little under two years. I bought at the wrong time, just before when things started to dip :( But I will still aim to start my business in late April :)
