    Crush It! by Gary Vaynerchuk

Can't wait for his new book The Thank You Economy. Will buy it along with Fastlane book and a few others... Thank You Economy is a thing that not only Gary V mentions, Seth Godin mentions it too applying it to book industry (buying a book is just a symbolic thank you to the author for his...

    PROGRESS THREAD: GymJunkie (36Pounds.com)

    EXECUTION
Alright... I made a decision... I'm closing 36Pounds.com It was a great thing for me. I stuck with it for longer than with any idea I have ever had (almost 2 years!!). I will reopen it or start a new blog once I have gained enough weight myself. And that will probably only happen in around 2...

    Broker/Import-Export/Alibaba.com - Anyone tried?

Sometimes doing it twice helps...I had to contact one South African company and talk them into letting my employers become representatives of their product in Ireland. They didn't respond first... Few weeks later I emailed them again. They responded by referring us to UK representatives. We...

    Broker/Import-Export/Alibaba.com - Anyone tried?

Preferably looking for American company and then sell it to outside of US. But if I finds something good than why not. Looks like American companies can write off distressed merchandise and that allows them to sell it cheap, cents on a dollar. Then I post an ad and wait for good buyers... It...

    Broker/Import-Export/Alibaba.com - Anyone tried?

Yeah, I'm going for it. Working now on a list of companies to contact (suppliers). Selecting two niches now. I think some people on this forum should have done brokering like this. I'm surprised there are no one sharing experience (or this may be such a good opportunity no one wants to...

    Broker/Import-Export/Alibaba.com - Anyone tried?

Anyone tried brokering and importing/exporting through alibaba.com. Basically, I just learned about a seemingly great business model. You find some distressed goods from manufacturer/seller, you find a buyer for it on ecommerce site like alibaba.com or even in offline world. You set up a meet...

Howard Stern gets his butt handed to him by some Internet Guy

wow...didn't expect a little war going on here.. Gaulkin, you misunderstood Gary, he praised Stern for being great at monetizing and making a name with OLD platforms but said that Howard is afraid of new platform (internet) and tools (FB, Twitter etc) and thats why it he laughs at new media...

Howard Stern gets his butt handed to him by some Internet Guy

In this video ''some internet guy'' shows how a winner in life Howard Stern is wrong about the internet (blogs, myspace, FB etc). While Howard Stern laughs at internet he laughs at his past. Take a look how old media guys are afraid of new media...

    PROGRESS THREAD: GymJunkie (36Pounds.com)

    EXECUTION
Well, as I expected, I lost almost all the subscribers. I think like 10 out of 147 switched to the new list. But honestly I'm not concerned with it. It's a new start, new page. The list is 15 people now. Looks like I will be getting 1 subscriber a day which is 30 of them a month. It's still more...

    PROGRESS THREAD: GymJunkie (36Pounds.com)

    EXECUTION
Yesterday I changed my email newsletter service from MailCheat(Chimp) to Awebber. MP wasn't bad but Aw is more convenient to me and probably cheaper in the long run! I had a list of 147 subscribers that took a year to build up (!!! talk about slow!!!). I expect to loose pretty much all of them! I...

    Hello from Ireland!

So you are Irish and interested in music? Cool! I reside in Dublin myself even though I'm not Irish. I also started researching and digging around in the music industry and want to get in. Probably as a Marketing specialist/consultant. It would be nice to hear more about your experience in music...

    Facebook is the New Google

    WEB/DIGITAL
Well, tagging helps solve this. If your friends have links, they contain keywords, which makes it the same as Google, the difference is that you trust your friends not PageRank..

    Facebook is the New Google

    WEB/DIGITAL
Yes, esp. with the search feature where we can search something and see results and recommendations from our friends. Now that is relevant info! I was sceptical of FB and didn't have it untill last year, now I like it a lot cuz I stay updated on my friends life a bit while I'm away, I also can...

Google Instant - The end of SEO as we know it?

    WEB/DIGITAL
But will Google keep those half-words as keywords themselves or they will be linked to full words? I think they will be linked to full words and SEO wont change cuz you already rank for full ones.

    Advice for Driving Traffic?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I see, but as a movie fan, I see no value in this kind of review. Hell do I care about the quality (I will just bring back the DVD to the store and say, give me a new one). Not all the people read reviews of movie content already and you go even deeper with reviewing only content. There may not...

Google Instant - The end of SEO as we know it?

    WEB/DIGITAL
The Facebook search initiative where you can get results from two levels of your friends (friends and friends of friends) is more interesting I'd say. But SEO will change probably with this (unless it fails like Wave did...).

    Advice for Driving Traffic?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Mmmm.... isn't Blue Ray supposed to be best quality etc already? What is there to review then besides content, no one reviews DVD quality cuz we all now what DVD quality is... maybe you need to change your business model?
