Age old debate: Mac VS Microsoft PC

    HOT! CHAT
Honestly, as a techie, I think too many people spend too much time thinking about their machines and OS and not just producing. It becomes a massive action fake and the object of mental masturbation for people who aren't in that part of the technical world. For example, your setup may be...

Do You Start a Business With an Audience, Product, or Problem?

    NOTABLE! HOT! EXECUTION
A lot of companies don't go all the way with it and that can leave a bad impression. I can't tell you how many times I have seen comments on facebook in which people have a question or mention a problem with a product or service and then nobody responds. I often see follow-up customer posts...

    NOTABLE! SIDE HUSTLE
Thanks for bringing your use of the cricut in your business. The beauty of these machines, glowforge, cricut, or silhouette, is that they are very inexpensive for what you get if you can incorporate them into your business. The ability to prototype iteratively and deliver easily outweighs the...

In a restrictive contract. Should I leave or stay?

    QUESTION
Several years ago, I worked for a tech startup. I had 10's of thousands of shares in the company. We had about 400 million in investment dollars. I mentioned to another director in that company that I was going to come out with an unrelated product. He said, you know if you do that we (the...

    Law Firm Fastlane?

    IDEA
I'm not a lawyer. In the USA, law can be extremely profitable, especially for the partners in the business. Here are some examples of sites from a couple of law firms that seem to do a good amount of business. The first deals with credit repair and the second has a whole list of services that...

My brother in law bought a fully loaded Ram 2500 Limited diesel. Fully loaded. 85k list. Bought it through Costco for 76k or something like that. No haggling with dealers. They just locate the vehicle, have you commit, then it's up to you to complete the transaction and handle your own...

Needs to be said... sell the DAMN motorcycle.

    HOT! RANT
So much can go wrong so easily. I found it not worth it. I had a dirt bike when I was a kid and thought about getting a motorcycle for the road. I've considered that many times over the years, but the risk isn't worth it to me. I have too many personal experiences and the accidents of...

    Using BookBub for Book Promotion...

    RANT
You were asking about how to promote, but I thought I'd address the structure of your offer if you don't mind. I'm not trying to sound like an a$$ if it comes across that way but just thought this might help. First off, I'm not currently selling anything on Amazon, but as a marketer, put...

I would probably look at other successful examples of Manga stores in nearby cities to see what their mix of products is and try to determine how successful they are. You can get reviews of Manga stores in Kansas City, MO or KS or St. Louis to see which ones are highly rated and try to get a...

Good luck. Having gone through parents not being able to maintain their business and life, the more you can help him shore himself up, the better unless you can take it on if needed. My dad stuck to his same business model for too long and it burned him. My mom would never start anything...

    NOTABLE! INTRO
I hate to be a bearer of bad news, but in almost all jobs people think they have to work too much. Yours is special in that it involves helping people through tough times, has specialized knowledge, and requires extra responsibility. You didn't say what country you're in but being an MD can be...

How do you manage the fear of taking action?

    MINDSET
The only way for me to conquer any fear is to think of what happens if I don't. Everything will stay the same or maybe even sink into chaos if you don't do something. Your position may deteriorate if you don't go for it. Then what? Also, you'll never know. You'll always wonder what if you'd...
