Don't mix family with business. Is it worth it or not?

    PEOPLE
You've said that you can't trust them. Why would you consider them? Getting a loan is not exactly the same as being in business with someone, however it can be just as devastating to relationships. A friend had to buy out all of his friends who invested in his company. It was a mess and hurt...

    HOT!
Lex, If you would like to build a haunted house or escape room business. I believe the biggest trade show for them is in St. Louis. They put on Halloween and Christmas trade shows rolled into one, have several haunted houses and an escape room, provide events, and I remember them being in the...

2nd degree murder can be life in California. It depends on background. I have no idea if that would apply in this case. I'm not a lawyer, not even close. https://aizmanlaw.com/dui-charged-murder-known-watson-murder/

There's another way of approaching this that might help if you're thinking of things for programmers. Think of some utilities that help programmers. Given your experience, what would help you? I'm thinking of things like postman. That might have been programmed as a personal use project to...

Unfortunately, the person this thread was started about apparently didn't show for the court date and went on the run. It can be a life sentence for the negligence involved in the accident alone without being on the run. Likely to be problematic when caught and sentenced. Probably making a...

I'm curious. After people were willing to buy your software, why do you say you were too late? Do your competitors have all the other possible customers? It sounds like you did some market research with what you thought was a great product and found that the market is willing to buy it but...

Some questions about a potential suit business...

    QUESTION
Fashion is always in fashion. You just need to find it. It seems odd to try to find it in the micro niche of people who want to dissolve scents with their clothing instead of just selling what they all want - good clothes that make them feel special because they're rare or weird or custom and...

@Antifragile, I think you have a few books in you that need to see the light of day. This is a very valuable thread. I ran into an old friend some time ago who has a seasonal business. He loves it. He hated his corporate job so he has a lawn mowing company in Missouri where it can get pretty cold. He moves to California where it's warmer for winter, visits family and does some work there until it warms up...

Dollar shave club is or at least was a very sexy business. Good value skew with exceptionally fun marketing. The product doesn't have to be sexy for the business to be. My son still gets Dollar Shave Club blades and other products that he got into based on their viral video. He didn't follow...
