    Photography

    OFF-TOPIC
I'm always glad to see new interest in photography, but what you're asking for is not very specific and as such will not yield specific advice. What exactly are you looking to achieve when you say you want to "start doing photography?" Do you have specific goals? Are you looking to achieve a...

Help me design an Urbantrike T-shirt

I like this idea a lot. Kind of like FPSRussia and all of his "Professional Russian" t-shirts. Also, I really like "I'm kind of a big wheel" and also thought of "My other car is a trike" or "My other car is a big wheel" Also also, I agree with Wade that the logo needs to be on the shirts.

    Building a scalable Internet business

Cool idea. As someone who has purchased from copart before, I'm very interested to see where you take this. Records of completed listings would be awesome. This idea could be applied to several other niches as well. My main question is what is your planned monetization method? Subscription...

Portable Photo Studio - I am impressed

    HOT!
Lookin good! Those stands/umbrellas look similar to what I have. How are you attaching the lights to those stands? Are those just plain Edison bases for the bulbs? Also, it doesn't look like you have reflectors on the outside of those umbrellas so you're losing a lot of light through them. Have...

Portable Photo Studio - I am impressed

    HOT!
Come on man, did you read the thread? :smash: Literally all you need for a basic setup is the following: lights, wax paper or white t-shirt cloth, poster board and cardboard. Wiki-How: How to make an inexpensive lightbox http://youtu.be/EAVLO3pGNdk http://youtu.be/mNxBGXTbdXE Hundreds of...

Portable Photo Studio - I am impressed

    HOT!
Not bad, but the backdrop is super annoying IMO. All those lines are very distracting from the actual product. Are you heavily cropping these? Also, I'd suggest moving the product/subject as far from the backdrop as possible in attempt to get the backdrop out of focus, which will help blur the...

    Paleo recipes?

If you allow yourself fruit, banana pancakes are delicious and simple. Two ingredients: 2eggs, 1 banana. Whip them up in a bowl and then cook it just like you would cook normal pancake mix.

Need some help with my first Real Estate Investment

    REAL ESTATE
I'm not familiar with either of those markets, but if you plan on living in your investment property, I highly suggest a multifamily home like a 2-, 3-, or 4-plex. That way you're at least not sharing kitchens and toilets with your tenants. I've done the room rental thing and absolutely hated...

If not this, at least find some like-minded people. It might not seem easy, but it can be done if you look around. I went from zero to fifty like-minders in a single weekend. They're out there!

    Should I take this opportunity

    REAL ESTATE
I'm not sure that I understand how your deal will be constructed, but assuming the purchase price is $470k and a gross rental income is $51k, a quick and dirty 50% analysis provides: Purchase price: $470k Gross yearly income: $51k Estimated expenses: $25.5k (50% of gross) Net Operating...

    Job Security?

    MINDSET
I was laid off from a fortune 500 company in 2011. I was a little surprised when I first got the news, but I was ready for it. In fact, I considered putting my name in for voluntary layoff but decided to "play it safe" and wait it out instead. I knew that there were better opportunities out...

    my new web site! opinions!!

    WEB/DIGITAL
It might be just me, but this is too vague at this level. If the choice was between two specific model numbers, then that make more sense to me. Then again, I suppose I could just create a new campaign for those two specific models myself. Scratch that, just looked at the site again and saw an...
