    Sign-Up Incentives?

    PUBLISHING
I'm not sure what you mean by branding smash, but incentive should come before that either way. Why? Because before doing that splash it would be best to know already how email sign ups works out, what performs better so that when the flood of traffic comes in, you maximise it, not test with it...

    Sign-Up Incentives?

    PUBLISHING
Well, about investing time in a giveaway - yes, it is an investment, and I'd say it's long-term investment that multiplies your other efforts therefore it's more important than one book. Worst case scenario, it doesn't workout, then you take it off of being the incentive, BUT you then send it as...

    Sign-Up Incentives?

    PUBLISHING
This is not an incentive at all. Every author does it. It's kind of automatic assumption. Incentive is supposed to multiply this. :)

    Sign-Up Incentives?

    PUBLISHING
How do you know he/she wouldn't have even bigger list with a giveaway ? This is a reasoning that comes from limiting beliefs... You're kind of looking for excuse now.. Also notice the word 'Respectable', but not 'incredibly big'. Similarly, there are tons of businesses that aren't Fastlane...

    Sign-Up Incentives?

    PUBLISHING
Don't listen to what they say.. Tons of writers have negative beliefs about marketing and that colors their judgment. Even neutral things are viewed in negative light because of it.. If you provide value to your list, they will like it. Actually, you're entitled to be providing as much value as...

    Sign-Up Incentives?

    PUBLISHING
Do something your fans would appreciate. Exclusive content is great, you can even serialise it in an autoresponder series after they sign up so everyone goes through the same sequence. That keeps your name fresh in their minds. Behind-the-scenes stuff is also cool. You can even give away a...

How to build an android "app empire"?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Yup, that's where one app can turn into 5-6 figure a month income and be of huge value. That's a real business. Would not stick to local area only tho.

How to build an android "app empire"?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Yeah, I also think that if some apps would even go on to be successful, they'd die out probably as the next trendy game comes in etc. Sure that can give some income but a big business that provides premium service with a good team built will not be just a trend and will be better experience and...

How to build an android "app empire"?

How about starting one thing that provides massive value and be monetized with many options, not just ads.. less trend chasing.. more trend setting.

How Are You Building Your Email List? How's it working?

    PUBLISHING
Quick-study guide, hmm that's interesting. Does it apply only to certain books tho? Those that have big worlds created aka Game Of Thrones? Audio version is really cool, but expensive to make and audiobooks have been becoming a good source of sales and income for authors. Tough call! :)

How Are You Building Your Email List? How's it working?

Hello! I'm researching how authors use their websites and email lists. Would love to learn how authors on Fastlane are building up their email lists? How's it going? I'm mostly interested about Fiction authors as it's way easier to build up non-fiction email list. :) If you could share your...
