    HOT!
Hey speedy, Did you end up going the UDK route? I've been using Unity3d and love it, although some of the stuff definitely wasn't designed for optimal performance, but a few hacks here and there fixes any of it. UDK just charges too much to use!

$13M Bank Statement left in Cafe with message

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
I think it would be interesting to know the story behind this. Maybe the note was solicited by a waiter to a regular at the cafe? There were definitely people in my life that I asked the questions and never got the answers to.

Lets talk about cash money (Yo)

    EXECUTION
Kevin O'Leary had an interesting bit on why you shouldn't invest your own money in a project. When you have investors, they're the ones with the money on the line and they know when to pull the plug on you. If you have undying faith in yourself and your ideas or execution, then you don't have...

What would you do? (another education thread)

    MINDSET
Oh! Forgot, I have a c sharp cert from the university of Washington and it was a waste of time. I took it because it was supposed to be taught by the author of the book but they switched teachers out and the guy was terrible. After working in enterprise software... y cert probably gave me...

What would you do? (another education thread)

    MINDSET
I'm just about the biggest proponent against college education you can find. So I'll play devil's advocate to the rest of the forum. Sal, Drop out of school. Degrees and school are useless. Last time I checked, paying a teacher who's never done what they're teaching $35 an hour with 400...

Lets talk about cash money (Yo)

    EXECUTION
You've got me confused as to what you're asking! I think you're asking what those of us starting up do for funds or what those who already reached success did? I worked for a while to gain experience and saved up so I have about a year's income to live off of while I start up. But... what you...

VBulletin vs IPS vs other forum provider?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Exactly what he was telling me... Thanks for confirming. Checked it out and it looks pretty good. Runs quickly and has a bunch of cool SEO tools. The only thing that worries me is the pending lawsuit against them that they said is looking to close in January 2013. That can't be good for...

    HOT! MINDSET
With #6, the marathon, skip it! Your knees and back will thank you later.;) Did you have a thread about going skydiving? That'd be pretty cool to see! haha was it tandem or static line? I need to add surfing to my bucket list! Shark week on Discovery just freaks me out. I don't mind fish...

    Had to Laugh

I believe that follows under the disease philosophy of "gotta have it now." Immediate satisfaction vs. furthering a long term goal. Money definitely deserves to be spent during your life, that's what it's there for. But like MJ said in his book, if you have to think twice or justify if you...

VBulletin vs IPS vs other forum provider?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Searched and read through some threads on the site about it, and am getting the impression that vBulletin is everyone's preferred forum provider. Posting on vBulletin about it... what's your opinion? I am setting up an online site for transaction / account management and am looking to setup...

    What's on your Bucket List?

    HOT! MINDSET
Ya but they're not secret, only certain sects are. Tikal, Machu Picchu, Tiwanaku, Teotihuacan, Cairo, Luxor, Petra, Rom, Angkor Wat... so many places! I'm obsessed. Huge points here! I'd love to come to one of the meetups some day. I saw the move "The Skulls" about the skull and bones...

    TheFastLaneForum IRC Chat?

I was searching to see if there's ever been one or if people are even open to one but couldn't find any. Is there any reason why this hasn't been done yet? We could set up a Freenode group pretty easily if anyone's interested. So, whatdya think?

Php is a superrr simple C based language to learn! You shouldn't be having any troubles with it. Are you trying to just read tutorials online, or have you gone through and read a comprehensive book on the subject? You're not that driven. If reading a 500 page book, learning new things, being...

    Thoughts on email lists

    MARKETING
Do you read any of the campaigns targeted towards you? Or do you even sign up to them? Answering that question will mostly answer your answer. I've signed up to them before but almost always end up unsubscribing after a couple of emails.
