[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGThanks for the great answer! Rep+ transferred. Yes, the items are all small and inexpensive, so perhaps you're right about the low entry level, though I tried my best to choose products at the time that I felt there wasn't huge competition on. The idea was to buy a few things from Aliexpress...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGThanks for this breakdown, it's very helpful. Still at the sample stage myself, but will refer back to this in future. I'm curious to hear how others are getting on...... I have 17 listings now, after 3 weeks. Sold 5 items each week with an overall profit of £7 every week ( at least it's...- Five Star

$267 Million Earned in 1998
$267M in 1998....Wow! Kaizen and 'lean' methodologies are a big culture in my workplace. I was just on a Kaizen event all of last week. I paid much more attention than usual ever since I read in another thread that MJ recommends it for personal and business development. For anyone not...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGFirst package arrived yesterday, items are listed now. Happy Days! Still waiting on some other products to arrive. Hope to get a few sales to get some momentum going, though thinking in hindsight that I maybe chose something with a little too much competition. We'll see. Thanks @Ecom man and...- Five Star

Best Practices for Cold Calling
MARKETINGHad success with the following INTRO in the past for COLD CALLING on the phone: -Hi, I'm ______ from xyz company. If you're anything LIKE ME, I'm sure you're not a fan of cold calling. However, if I could have JUST 30 seconds of your time to introduce myself/my product, then YOU CAN DECIDE if...- Five Star

Jason's How to Build Wealth & Golden Nuggets
GOLD! MINDSETSorry to hear that this has happened especially by someone on this forum! It'll definitely put people off posting too much info, which is a real shame. Trying to learn from this, how can someone protect their business? Don't businesses get copied / emulated all the time by competitors, unless...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGThanks for the tips. It was the first time I'd used the new 'Business Account', so I guess it was a little new to me. Had to set up returns policies etc., which was a bit more time consuming. I have the app, but find it a bit cumbersome typing so much on the tablet when you have a lot to...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGI completely forgot how long it takes to upload items on eBay!! Listing a few items around the home to get my rating up on my new account while I wait for my products. Probably spent around 4 hours to get 6 items up! Everything from IT problems, laptop running slowly to getting familiar again...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCING@Ecom man - just curious if there is a particular reason you don't use Amazon? In my mind, a combination of ebay, Amazon and your own site sounds like a winning formula. On a side note, I notice a lot of suppliers on Aliexpress don't use Paypal. Would you recommend Alipay, or Escrow (using a...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGCall it beginner's luck, but I had a good response from vendors on Alibaba. Out of 15 contacted, around 80-90% got back to me in 1-2 days. Although I have a generic e-mail server account, I created a name that fits well with Chinese culture. Think of words and numbers that they associate with...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGSo I've had a good response from my quotation requests on Alibaba. It's hard work sifting through them. Out of about 15, ONLY 1 gave me all the information I requested! Sounds like I got the regular replies most people have been getting. MOQ's of 2000, super high sample prices, huge freight...- Five Star

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.
GOLD! SOURCINGThanks for the reply: I'll focus then on searching through the active buy it now listings like you suggest, and not get too hung up on the other details. Got my first few quotes back from suppliers already. The prices are way off what I expected! I'll wait to get some more back and then sit...- Five Star

GOLD! SOURCING@Ecom man , thanks for the great thread!
