HOT! CHATIf only I could write Mandarin copy from scratch...then I'd be rolling in the dough lol. I've been trying out DeepL for a few small gigs, but I try to keep the English version as straight the point and free of lingo as possible: https://www.deepl.com/en/translator I'm still an avid player of...- ZF Lee

I have a damn great idea to MJ DeMarco
IDEA MARKETINGI'd love more of MJ's ideas to reach to more people in any way possible-- even a film. For me, the major takeaway of Great Rat Race was how building business from zero to profits might look like with all the toils of regular life clashing with business needs. For the average 9-5er, it's hard to...- ZF Lee

ZF's progress thread
EXECUTIONThanks for the help Black Dragon. This incident did had me thinking about the people who DO appreciate me now. My parents...friends...mentor figures...and I realise there is so much more I can do for them. People who actually want me to grow and succeed. So I have actually been spending more...- ZF Lee

EXECUTIONKL at MITEC I don't get our local mentality...Japanese and Koreans movies seem to get decent attention from their local based and overseas... but we somehow get things screwed up.- ZF Lee

ZF's progress thread
EXECUTIONA few weeks ago, I went to my FIRST ever trade show in my home country, SEMICON2024. With the tech wars between US and China continuing to heat up, the region looks like a sweet place where tech exchanges and entire production lines can shift over. Malaysia historically is majoring in tester...- ZF Lee

My freelancing journey (Progress Thread)
SIDE HUSTLEDo you know that working freelance means you have to deal with people? Different attitudes? Different project types? Which requires a lot more mind-work than a J.O.B.? I don't think it's a bad idea to take courses especially on digital marketing...but understand that you have to market...- ZF Lee

"I don't have enough mental energy left to work on fastlane after returning home from my dayjob."
MINDSETThese days I feel similar too. So I give the FTE thread a hard read...and decide if I want to end up in some of the folks' shoes in the next year or so if I DON'T get stuff done.- ZF Lee

Quote of the Day - QOTD
HOT! MINDSET"Success isn’t luck — it’s intent. It’s doing what you’re trying to do on purpose. If you run to catch a bus and you catch it, it’s the running that made it happen. You could’ve thought you’d miss it, waddled forward in misery, blamed your bad luck and been late… or you could’ve run and had the...- ZF Lee

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)
HOT! CRYPTO CHATAbsolutely. I'll just list some openings I see: Since I'm still in the copywriting line, crypto is one of those fields where you need a faster turnover of finance-related copy. I'm talking short-form content like emails, TikTok scripts and even Telegram posts. You won't always need a...- ZF Lee

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATMy condolences. Honestly these last few months actually had me wondering how I could live without certain people in my life. Including some good mentor-figures I found along the way. I do worry how much time I have left to spend with them...if I had enough time and resources to make them proud...- ZF Lee

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATSince I'm from a place predominantly Muslim... You know if the country REALLY went to the extremes of Muslim law, you'll get stuff like the banning of interest...right? We all understand interest is needed to compensate the lender for his lost opportunity cost to use the capital he gives out...- ZF Lee

HOT! HEALTHIMO coffee made with some actually decent beans is alright. It's the 3-in-1 instant mixes that we should worry about. Goodness knows what sugars and conditioners they use in those powders.- ZF Lee

Failing at Entrepreneurship: Guys I Wouldn't Bet On.
GOLD! MINDSETI felt ever since the pandemic came...it's like many folks lost something in their heads. Inner drive? Creativity? The odd thing is that I started meeting people I wanted to be with (outside this Forum) during and after the pandemic. Even jobs too. So for all the people 'lost' during the...- ZF Lee

A newbie trying to make it since 7 years.
INTROOK all the bashing aside...I think outreach is a key Fastlane skill that helps, no matter what venture you choose. What have you tried for outreach so far? Cold email? The usual platforms like Upwork or Fiverr? What is your offer (eg do you specialise in certain fields, sales copy mediums, for...- ZF Lee

Stock Market Discussion, Chat About the Latest Market Action
HOT! CHATI would not discount it. Am keeping an eye on other metals too, especially aluminum and even tin. Honestly the West has allowed other powers to take over metals and raw resources a tad too much. Exchanges too. Even LME has been bought over by HKEX...which makes shit even more fishy when the...- ZF Lee

Stock Market Discussion, Chat About the Latest Market Action
HOT! CHATI actually hit up some gold mutual funds at the end of last year. Felt rather pricey back then, and often wondered if I should have waited for a pullback. If I did...let's say that might be the last time I see gold at the lower $2000s and I wouldn't be 16% up today...- ZF Lee

Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)
HOT! CRYPTO CHATI share your thoughts. One of the Fastlane interstates has always been 'Innovation'...and what not better way to unlock this avenue, than to hop onto pioneer trends like blockchain? 'Just do anything' does feel aimless and doesn't answer much on first glance. But I realise each of us have some...- ZF Lee

You probably aren't ready to have your own business.
MINDSETI think its OK to hate a 9-5 because of the time-wasting commute, office politics, limits on learning (not everyone can meet good bosses or co-workers), etc. It shows you are alert on what's going on around you...and don't just go about your day like a zombie. It's only bad if you just hate and...- ZF Lee
