    EXECUTION
So, updates. The past 2 days have been a little hectic, as I've had to work on some issues at home. However, I did decide Justinmind was vastly too complex for what I needed. Instead, I am trying out an app called Sketch. Also, I worked a bit on an Upwork profile. I got some advice on how to...

How do i learn how to code?

    HOT!
The issue I have with Meteor is the same issue I have with Angular - it's all or nothing. Trying to go outside the framework is a pain. Although, before learning ANY JS framework, people need to know Javascript itself.

How do i learn how to code?

    HOT!
@Alan LT @sija1 @Omega Java is a dead language. It's stagnated over the years and ever since Oracle bought out Sun, they have done little to improve it. In fact, there are some nasty rumors they are trying to kill the language. There are exactly 2 times I'd recommend you learn Java. The first...

Have you captured leads yets? Setting up a product page pre-launch is a good way to validate there's interest in your book, especially if you combine it with paid traffic like AdWords and Facebooks ads.

Today is a day for change!

    MINDSET
There's a post here by MJ that talks about the right kind of action to take. Basically, you want to try to map out as completely as possible what your end goal is, and then work backwards into a set of daily steps you can take into order to achieve it. A solid process enforced with good habits...

How do i learn how to code?

    HOT!
I'd recommend Code Academy, it's a good place to start. To expand a little, there are lots of resources on learning how to code, you don't need to pay anything to learn the basics, or in fact anything. You can find free courses on Coursera and MIT Open Courseware that teach both the technical...

    I quit!

I experience this quite a bit, because I tend to put myself in this position. I've alluded to it several times on this forum, but I am a software developer, and my job consists of me building web things. Recently, I started building a website in a new language (F# for those interested) and...

    Tradesmen in the Fastlane

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
Would you consider a building architect a trades? I ask because that is how Pat Flynn got his start. He was an architect who was well known for his expertise on the LEED GA exam, and his first business was to take that knowledge and convert it into an online course and ebook. If your trade has...

    EXECUTION
My comments about making an MMO are facetious, it's a terrible market to be in. WoW is both the best and the worst thing to happen. It brought MMOS to the mainstream, but also set unrealistic expectations. I think my strategy were I get into game development is to release a few games via PC...

do YOU want to never lose on a car deal again?

SEO will help you get indexed and ranked by Google, but you do need to, as @blackhat mentioned, be seen as an authority. What keywords are you competing for, and do you have paid traffic? @Andy Black has great posts on using AdWords to drive traffic.

Yep, but considering WoW at one point had more players than the population of Rhode Island, MMOs are a rather large market.

    My Execution Plan

    EXECUTION
Spoke with another dojo owner, but he seems to have gone dark, I'll follow up with him in the morning. I also spent some time detailing out an MVP for this product to send to my first contact. I also started wireframing, and immediately hit the mental sludge I get when I start using a tool I am...

Considering Harvester is on Steam, going for controversial will be hard. If you can't tell, I have an interest in the video game industry, but I don't want to use that for a fastlane business because it's brutal.

Those games will likely get pulled. As @sija1 said, video games are not a typical need based industry. You're still solving a problem which can be stated as "I am bored", but the way in which is it solved at a given moment in time depends largely on how that person feels. That being said, the...

I'm sure you did, but I doubt you can execute on it. Greenlight works because it is right on Steam and operated by Valve. Users can vote for the games they want, follow them, and get early access all. Developers get access to Steam huge customer list. But make no mistake, Valve is always there...
