How do you test a market via Craigslist??

I'm not positive, but I think he might be referring to MJ's post earlier today in this thread. However, this seems like a different scenario. The guy in the thread linked above wanted to get some peoples opinion to a straightforward survey question. The Craigslist strategy was to post this...

    What do you drive?

    OFF-TOPIC
I remember reading in one of your threads about how you used to have an NSX. Any interest in ever going back to that or are you happier with the S2000?

    What do you drive?

    OFF-TOPIC
I drive a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro. I would not recommend it to fellow fastlaners.

    Myths about Capitalism

The thread title surprised me, was expecting something talking about how the American dream and capitalism are lies... which seemed out of place for this forum. I like Stossel, thank you for sharing.

When Things Start Going Right - Success Breeds Success

    MINDSET
In all seriousness man, just start working on something. Even if you screw it up, the experience is invaluable. My biggest mistake was wasting time reading the forum for months. Don't get me wrong, this forum is useful and I have learned a lot from it, but you yourself won't truly benefit...

When Things Start Going Right - Success Breeds Success

    MINDSET
I was just reading this thread- https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/sidewalk/46500-no-motivation-i-just-cant-help-me-please.html It really connected with me because I had the same feeling of disconnect with the fastlane. It's like you read TMF, and you feel like just because you see the path that...

    A Car Story

I'm glad this thread was resurrected or I never would have seen it. It's techniques like this that I try and make my thought process when making purchases. I used to be a really stupid impulse shopper. In some ways I still am, but I have gotten a lot better as I try and embrace the fastlane...

Favorite motivational wealth or business movies?

    MINDSET
I don't watch many movies, however, the Netflix series "House of Cards" comes to mind.

For the high end sport car owners, do you buy carbon fiber for it ?

    OFF-TOPIC
Most supercars already have carbon fiber though. You may have better luck going for your mid-range sports cars that are a step below elite... your BMW Z4s, Audi TT, Mercedes SLK, etc. Or as Kak said, target young drivers. I've seen idiots spend ridiculous amounts of money on accessories that...

    Buying an ebay account

    WEB/DIGITAL
You can't just buy a new PayPal or eBay account and be on your merry way. They will catch you and then you'll be SOL, you're kicked out permanently. Get on the phone and talk to them, their support is not nearly as bad as it's made out to be. Once they tell you're legit you'll be good to go...

Totally new to this....idea and progress for motivation

    IDEA
Can't speak for their hosting, but if you want to buy a new domain, GoDaddy always has sales and promotions going on. GoDaddy Promo Codes - GoDaddy Coupons, Coupon Codes, and discount codes I've gotten .com domains from them for like $3.

Totally new to this....idea and progress for motivation

    IDEA
This man speaks the truth. You may want to listen to this podcast before you pick a new domain name- SPI 021 : Q&A Session – Domain Names, Do You Need an Audience, YouTube Blackboards and Adsense Earnings I've also heard MJ say not to use dashes. Something you may want to try (just...

11 Poverty Traps You Must Escape if You Ever Want to be Rich

    EXECUTION
That picture you have to accompany your tip #11 was fantastic. Good for myspace Tom for having the balls to embarrass some piddly-a$$ slowlane hater.

Is College Worth It? ~William Bennett

Saw that the other day. It makes me wonder how long it's going to take until all of this information starts to become "mainstream". It's pretty well-established that if you go obtain a bachelor's degree in philosophy at a small liberal college, your future is pretty bleak. Yet high schools...

Is College Worth It? ~William Bennett

I don't know if this has been posted here before, but I've seen a lot of the threads from fastlane members who feel that college is not worth the investment. The author is the former Secretary of Education under Reagan. He mentions something that I have seen a lot throughout the debates on...

RARE! 7 Secrets of the Wealthy

    EXECUTION
Think it's funny how when there is a good article like this, all of the comments are filled with people calling out Warren Buffet and Mark Z., and saying how they should start their own businesses again to "prove it to them". As if some of the wealthiest people in the world have to answer to...

What to look for in 1st used car?

    OFF-TOPIC
You probably want to go with a 90s Honda. Great cars if you don't care about cars, probably cheaper than a Toyota, and they're really reliable. Plus their owners always boast of 40 MPG.

    Buying a new car

    HOT! MINDSET
Well aware. He's talking about buying cars, I'm just throwing out one that I'm partial towards. I don't expect everyone to agree with me. And no, it doesn't really look like an Aston, but as far as midsize sedans under $30,000 go, it's a pretty good looking car. As is the KIA Optima...

    Buying a new car

    HOT! MINDSET
There's no point in buying a brand new car. You lose 30% of the value before you put a mile on it. A 2011 BMW for $30,000 is a lot better deal than a 2013 for $50,000. Who gives a shit if it's 2 years old and has 15,000 miles on it. Girls can't tell the difference, and 15,000 miles means...
