    University as a Fastlane foundation

Welcome to the forum! Going to university to learn valuable skills can certainly be a good foundation that will open many doors for you. However, I would suggest you take some time to seriously reflect on yourself, to clarify what your strong and weak points are and where you want to end up...

Does everyone struggle to learn code?

    HOT! MINDSET
Java Developer working at big blue atm. I took a full-time course of 6 months to learn Java 8 & get my OCA. The first two months I felt my brain exploding and I couldn't figure out wtf I was doing. Month 3 & 4 the fog slowly lifted and I began to see the why instead of just the how of code...

    University is making me sick

    HOT! MINDSET
X1000 times this. I quit my job a long time ago to "explore" and "live the dream" and build a "business". An online translation business. What happened? 1. I knew jack shit about sales, so I did not manage to sell shit. 2. My "business" had competition from millions of people since the...

Biggest issue you face with starting/running your own business ?

    MINDSET
Issue: Having a broad final goal and having no clue whatsoever how to get there. I try to clarify what the next minimal step should be, regardless of how small, do that & repeat. Hopefully I'll end up somewhere near my final goal.

How I got hired as a software engineer without a college degree

Congratulations dude, you're an inspiration ! I'm basically on the same track, just one year later :D

    (Complicated) Unpaid Invoice

I've worked in Debt Collecting for several years, so my 2 cents: 1) "he agreed to backdate the payments at the end of the free trial if he was happy with the results" Here you basically state that you are working for free and you might be paid if the owner is happy with the results. Therefore...

From 0 To $240,000 Per Year PROFIT In 18 Months (Acquisition Entrepreneurship)

    GOLD! HOT!
@silentjay agree.. Also the fact that several very new accounts suddenly pop up in the thread and they are all extremely interested in investing, seems a bit suspect to me. (Hope I'm wrong!)

Does everyone struggle to learn code?

    HOT! MINDSET
I can understand the feeling, it feel's like you're waddling through a swamp with fog in air, you see the next step but you don't have a clue why, how or where you're going. :D It's a phase everyone goes through when learning programming, keep at it and someday soon it will just "click" and the...

Elizabeth Warren: Break up Big Tech

    HOT!
I'm all for free markets and I do consider capitalism as one of the greatest drivers of human advancement in history, but I do see the argument against Facebook, Twitter and Google since they have a near-monopoly in the areas of Search and Social Media. The free flow of biased and unbiased...

Best City/Country in Europe for Online Entrepreneur

    HOT!
I'm Belgian and I lived a year in Dublin. Nice low taxes but the rain 24/7/365 was really too much. Now for living, if your primary goal is fun & women, I would suggest Paris or Berlin. Just avoid the shitty parts and you'll have a blast. For tax purposes, East-Europe is the way to go.

Jordan Peterson's Future Authoring program helped me achieve (literally) everything I wanted.

    HOT!
I read about the program some time ago, but I completely forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to start it this week!

How can someone work every waking hour???

    HOT!
Well, that time schedule (5.30-2.30am) is just ridiculous, no human in history can work 21 hours a day (147 hours week 0_0). Even Elon Musk, who is pretty much in the 0.000001% of work ethic, is working 10-12 hours a day every day. That being said, if you truly want to live an exceptional life...

Any Jordan Peterson fans out there?

    HOT!
I've listened to quite a few of his lectures and I read his book 12 rules. I would say I am a big fan of his work. As others have said in this thread, most of the information he dispenses in regards to personal development can be seen as self-evident to many of us that are not that young...

    From Fired to Cold Calling

    EXECUTION
Well, I have never read or heard of Schiffman, so I can't really comment on him. But completely ignoring qualification seems extremely bizarre. I mean, why on earth would he or anyone agree to a meeting when the other person is not offering anything of value. And would you spend the time doing...

    How I (didn't) become a millionaire at 19

    HOT!
Damn, that's impressive. I think if there's one thing you have which most people (including me) lack, it's faith in yourself and what you can achieve.

    From Fired to Cold Calling

    EXECUTION
I've got a few years experience in Sales & Cold Calling so here's my 2 cents. As a general rule, do not ask for something before you show value. Here you immediately ask for his time before showing anything he might be interested in, so he's put in a guarded position to defend his time...
