    Bitcoins & Stocks

    INVESTING
No. Bitcoin is an experimental technology with a thin order book. It moves violently in both directions. If for some reason a lot of people get hardup for cash and need to liquidate all assets than I guess there can be some correlation..but not really. The market cap (if you want to call it...

Ask me anything about eCommerce (Ongoing)

    GOLD!
Thanks, Allen. I'm entering a market where there's a extremely high-end product and some cheap imitations priced 80-90% lower. I'm looking to maintain luxury pricing (being well above the cheapish competition) while still being a lot cheaper than the dominant player. If I put it on amazon it...

Ask me anything about eCommerce (Ongoing)

    GOLD!
Cheers. You're probably right. I'm just thinking if I want to compete in the luxury arena I need to stick with a luxury pricing model. My products still won't be cheap by any means so I guess there isn't much risk of starting on the slightly lower end and tweaking my products. I just don't want...

Ask me anything about eCommerce (Ongoing)

    GOLD!
Do you feel it's at all detrimental to price low and work your way higher? Instead of the common wisdom where you can lower your price but not raise it? You've stated in this thread that you'll price low then go higher on amazon so I think I know where you stand but what about on a luxury...

8 Eyewear: From Idea, to Launch, to Growth (And Quitting the Job)

    IDEA
I was walking around a mall today and had a pair of 8's sitting on top of my head. A guy ran up to me and complimented me on them and asked where I got them from. He said something like "cool motorcycle shades, man"

Learning from the Aurora Colorado Massacre: Applying the OODA Loop

    NOTABLE! HOT!
Just an fyi. I posted the quote in regards to the attacker having a plan..and that plan being thrown off by countermeasures. I wasn't referring to those of us who prepare for the situations.

Well said. " Everyone has a plan 'till they get punched in the mouth." Mike Tyson I'm just drawing on personal experiences. Experiences that have no reason to be brought up here.

Agreed. Most of my experience comes from things it's damn hard to protect against. If you're lucky enough to have an amazing CIWS system around your perimeter you may have the benefit of a warning or it just MIGHT knock the shit out of the sky that is hurtling towards you. I never had that...

What kinds of businesses work better in developing countries?

    EXECUTION
There's ways around it but it isn't ideal. Pay a small amount of social security for 4 thai's that don't know you and are located in the middle of nowhere and you're probably good. Or split it with a wife..or become an executor of the trust that you placed the business in which is in your kids...

    Bangkok - DCBKK Meetup

    MEETUPS
Popped in there tonight. Its being renovated at the moment but as far as I can tell they're keeping the same type of seating at the perimeter. Prices have come down as well. :hurray: was way overpriced for the area. View down Sukhumvit Down Rama 4 i.e why I prefer to be on my scooter...

What kinds of businesses work better in developing countries?

    EXECUTION
The answer is obvious . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Bubble Tea! Or you could utilize the local labor, the internet, and the postal system to sell outside of the country

I'll run up there in the next couple of days to see if the place is any different now. I haven't been up there since the name change. It's located right beside Phrakhanong BTS station.

What type of setting are you looking for? I just returned from a meal at http://roadhousebarbecue.com/ food was good and location may be suitable. Or we can hit a open air beer garden with a larger and international food selection. Let me know and I'll throw out some more ideas.

What if you could live at the Starbucks in say...Scottsdale.

    OFF-TOPIC
I don't know building codes but maybe try to make 10x10ft rooms at a minimum. I've spent a good amount of time in bunks, it sucks. You need your alone time to process thoughts and relax at the end of the day.
