How to Apply Fastlane to Farming

    HOT!
"Screwed"??? That sounds like the "big ag" propaganda I hear all the time from the industry. Why not allow people the freedom to choose by being honest them about what is being put into their food?

How to Apply Fastlane to Farming

    HOT!
I live in the midwest and know many people involved in agriculture at various levels. All are in corn, bean or mint production. They all echo @DronePilot's comments here: In today's regulatory environment, "big ag" is literally eating the small small producer alive. Here in the midwest, small...

    Ethics

This is an interesting thread to me because I highly value ethics & morals. I'm not saying that I'm perfect in adhering to my principles, but just that they are very important to me. @Yashvi Divecha, I think the other members have given you some helpful suggestions to better apply your ethics...

When did you realize the system is rigged?

    NOTABLE!
For me, the realization occurred after being laid off from a medium/large company during the recession and moving to a very small company. I didn't really understand that there was a script, per se, but realized that the path I was following would not end up where I wanted to be. At this small...

    How is this idea

    IDEA
Good idea or not, doesn't much matter. The NEED is already there, as is obvious by the presence of competitors in the market. The real questions are whether your process and USP are good? If so, then yes...START.

    HOT! MINDSET
I agree with @CareCPA...I believe you can. I'm no financial expert, but I could see the 08/09 recession coming 'as plain as day'. I got out of stocks early and redirected my investments into cash & bonds. Why? I saw friends getting new houses they couldn't afford and realized "this is crazy...it...

Only for people who have been around for at least 2 recessions ! (Recession is coming!!!)

    HOT! MINDSET
A recession is a great time to expand, but only if you're prepared for it... 1) Capital goods are marketed down: I've seen some fantastic deals for all kinds of equipment during the previous recession! 2) More employees are back in the marketplace for hire: I watched & listened as my previous...

Small batch manufacturers in the US

Remember to network as you go. If you contact a mfg and they don't sound like a good candidate, ask them for a recommendation...they will know their industry and the players. If you have established a good rapport, they will be glad to help and usually provide good info!

You don't need a credit score or a loan to get a truck. Craigslist is the right way to go. Good decision. If you really want to save some $ get a small utility trailer for your cavalier and get busy! By the way, you might be surprised by how much equipment you can get in the back of a van.

Surely you jest. Sorry, but I couldn't read any further than that. Several hundred...meaning over 300x? At 340 pages, and roughly 2 minutes per page, that comes to over 3400 hours reading the same book. That's 85 weeks of full time work, or 141.7 days reading all day and all night, or 850 days...

Welcome to the forum. That intro sounds eerily like my own experience. Glad you're here. Perhaps it would help to clearly identify your "why". For some it's the Lambo, for other's it's travel, for some it's freedom from the 9-5 time/money trade. What's yours?

    EXECUTION
I'm sorry to hear that, and I wish the best for you and yours. Several years ago I had a similar situation during the '09 recession. It turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to my career. It showed me that there was another way, it eventually led me to this forum and to starting my...

Is it smart to start a business on a loan?

Is it smart to start a business on a loan??? If I recall correctly, MJ said that 90% of all new business startups will fail. My opinion is that the failure is OK. All things being equal, I'd rather not have a huge pile of debt to clean up when I do fail!

Hi @George Munoz and welcome to the forum. I saw your introduction in the other thread as well, but decided to just post once. I'll be glad to offer my opinion on your situation, since you asked.
