    HOT! MINDSET
If your business is bleeding cash, then something is seriously wrong. At least you do recognize that you're running out of capital, and that something has to change. That's a start. I think you've still got too many expenses for your current revenue. Regardless of how much you care about your...

Patent Attorney May Have Screwed Up?

@Ryan Wolf Yes, it's certainly possible that your attorney found the patent in it's provisional status. I'm betting that when you searched, that you used the website. If I understand correctly, the USPTO website doesn't list applications that have been started but not yet completed. To find...

Hi @LLiriano, it's been over 15 months now. Did you make it, or does this thread need to be moved to the landfill?

Every J.O.B. has growth potential, because the growth potential is inside the individual...not the J.O.B. Just pick one and start.

    Prototyping a Product (Computer Model)

I'm glad you found a way to produce your prototype quickly. A big library with resources like that is quite handy. Have you had any luck using your protos for show & tell with your manufacturer?

    GOLD! EXECUTION
Great story, thanks. I'll just add this suggestion. I believe you're trying to have your own product manufactured...if it's a plastic part, you can have the logo/name put into the mold so that it's molded into the plastic. Then you don't have the additional cost/time in engraving each unit...

Branded Product Restrictions and Supplier Loyalty?

    That would explain everything!

Branded Product Restrictions and Supplier Loyalty?

Is your relationship with your supplier such that you could ask them directly? Ask them... Can you have permission to sell 3rd party? Does competitor "B" sell your product, and if so, can you get the same selling agreement?

This might have been expected, it's certainly quite normal. It's a good sign really, just be sure to have a proper NDA to protect your unique design features. Good work!

sorry for the tardiness, but better late than never!

    INTRO
You work weekends (2 for 5) for only 5 months (5 for 7) of the year? That's roughly 40 days of work per year! That's pretty awesome. Making a lot of money doesn't have to be your goal. Making enough to enjoy life as you wish is a great goal! I'm glad you shared your story, thanks.

    I dodged a bullet.

    HEALTH
Ha Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've found it challenging to take advice from a medical professional that is obviously overweight, a smoker, or has poor oral hygiene, etc. If their medical advice is truly valuable, why wouldn't they be applying it to their own lives? I suppose they're only...

Yes. A rental owner wouldn't keep the rental unit if in the long run it didn't put money in his/her pocket.

With a prospective mfgr that close, you might want to arrange to meet with them at their facility. You can size them up, evaluate their mfg capabilities, and establish a business relationship. This can help you get the best deal possible. It's much easier to "give someone the shaft" if you've...

    Medical Imaging Concept

Sounds like you already work in the medical information field, so you might know some of the players. Perhaps you can contact a company that would fit well with your concept and pitch them the idea. Have a scaled down version of the software that you have built thru Upwork, or just a set of...

    Health Insurance Plans

    HEALTH
IMHO the medical industry is no different from any other service provider. Please just tend to freak out because of their personal biases or past experiences. Every product or service that the government regulates tends to have a reduction in supply and an increase in costs. I prefer free...

Set backs like this will happen, but don't give up. Sometimes the solution is to look at the problem from another angle and apply a different "fix". Keep at it and you'll find a way!!! Best wishes.

My story (Farming to the Fast Lane)

Thanks for the recommendation. I watched that documentary...what a sad story. The poor man lost the love of his life and untold millions too. It strongly reinforced the idea that one shouldn't engage friends or family in business. No business partners for me thank you.
