    It's also about power and control. That's the top priority of any tyrannical government. They control the population by controlling what they see and what they're allowed to say. Tech subverts their control over those things.

    This. He brought lower prices to rural areas, targeting regional accessibility for people willing to drive a little bit. Nothing they offered was unique, just lower prices and a lot of selection. Incrementally better business expanded into a behemoth.
