The five people you are surrounded with..

    PEOPLE
Excellent! Thank you! I am glad to hear that it can be done, and others have done it before me. If you can ignore the Slowlaners & Sidewalkers to find support/growth from books & forums, etc...then I can do it too.

Is creating an LLC worth it?

Before starting your business with a partner, may I suggest you read this GOLD thread? https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/how-i-lost-a-million-dollars-but-am-happier-and-stronger-than-ever.62925/ I agree. An LLC is much more than good way to cover your bases as regards to...

Anyone Have Experience In Hiring Sales Staff?

    EXECUTION
Since you are in ecommerce, you should be able to take this step without an office. Having a B&M footprint for 1 employee seems to me like a lot of overhead. I'll admit that this is not my expertise, but my preference would be to try a commission salesman that could work from home.

    Lamborghini lit my fire today

    MINDSET
It's great to have these shifts in motivation to help get us back on track! The guys I work with in my slowlane job have been my motivation for the past several months. Everything there is so negative, short sighted and small minded.

The five people you are surrounded with..

    PEOPLE
I feel your pain. Like the OP's past experience, it's my current struggle. Actually that is what led me to this forum, and then to the book. I've been searching for like minded folks in my community with no success, hence my online search and some of my threads...

Boulder Co: internet guy gone to physical products...

    INTRO
Greetings from another physical products guy. I'm in the startup phase, but focusing on B2B sales so my approach to sales & marketing is a bit different. Looking forward to more info on your approach to the various physical product specialties. This is a great resource and hope you find it to be...

I want to live X but how's the internet speed?

We live in the country, just a couple hours from Chicago. (Not too far from the new location of OP, btw.) I've had numerous ISP companies (cable providers too) call, mail or email, trying to get us to change to their service. I always give them our physical address and insist that they VERIFY...

    Office size for employees?

    PEOPLE
So true. There was indeed a significant lack of leadership.

I need advice - Cease & Desist - Ever Got One?

I don't know if your local post office still has the letter, but I'd call and ask. If so, pick it up and see what it said. If it sounds like more legal action may follow, go straight to a lawyer's office. The fee for the lawyer's time is a good investment against future problems. That's my 0.02

    Office size for employees?

    PEOPLE
If the space is evenly divided, who gets the window? It's amazing what little things people will bicker over. I once worked at a company that had a "facility manager" and he would come around regularly with a tape measure and office layout drawing. He'd check the sizes of the cubicles to make...

How do you make long car trips productive?

Along with audio books, there are some great podcasts out there and downloading their content is free. I download several from iTunes regularly. The Entreleadership podcast is excellent. Linchpin, Chris Locurto, Small Business Trends, and more. Almost every talking head has a podcast today...

Interesting list, though many of them have already been done. Where did you find it? Is this an ongoing/current and frequently updated site?

    Motorcycle Rentals, What is required

Hey @21elnegocio have you decided to do this, or have the naysayers sufficiently dampened your spirits? If you think there is a market/need for this service, and especially if you can make it a fastlane business, then don't let the negativity get to you! Did you check out your competition? Or...

A customer of mine is a CEO of a company that makes €25M/year.

    MINDSET
I'd encourage you to skip the brother connection and goto the businessman directly. He may consider the brother connection as an underhanded technique. You might mention that you've met his brother or done work for the brother, but contact the businessman directly. Just my 0.02

The Obamas paid over $100,000 in taxes. Strategy

    TAXES | REGS
You are likely correct that this protects him from scrutiny, and translates into power. Excellent points. But this is only true in a country that considers it a good thing to tax the wealthy in a punitive manner. I consider it a shame that anyone pays such high taxes. Apparently the country...

    Help! Troubles between co-founders

Interesting. We in the US use the word "turnover" differently. I still stand by the previous suggestion. 100k profit isn't much when it's split 3 ways between the partners.

    Too many ideas

    IDEA
You stated in another thread that you were having trouble with your current partners. With so many ideas to pursue, why not leave your current partnership, then pick your best new idea and start on your own. Put the brainstorming on hold and focus on your own Fastlane business.

    Help! Troubles between co-founders

If you're not making any profit, and you still want to stay small...perhaps this isn't the best business for you. Sounds like it's not a good fit. My vote is for leaving the partnership via a buyout or something of the sort.
