Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
@MTF you are not alone. I too live in a region that suffers from perceptual gray skies for half of the year. At the moment, I've got priorities & commitments that keep me here. In a few years, when our lives have changed...I do plan to have another residence in a sunny, dry climate. If you...

Why Control is a Must: Don't lose 2/3 your income in 1 month

Ripping an exact copy of someone else's product has unique problems. To that I was referring. For example: violation of IP laws, violation of previous sales agreements, risk of litigation, failure to provide unique value to the market, lack of integrity, etc.

It was merely a sarcastic attempt at humor. Or was it a humorous attempt at sarcasm? Hmmm.

Do I really need to file for an LLC to do business?

Yes, a registered agent is required and there are already numerous options. There are dedicated "registered agents" in most states, and an attorney could do it for you too, though the attorney might be more expensive. In all honesty, I've not used either so take that for what it's worth. Google...

Do I really need to file for an LLC to do business?

Not only do different states have different fees for setting up your LLC, they also have different tax benefits. States tax business differently, so there is often a substantial financial benefit to using an LLC from another state, which is entirely acceptable.

Why Control is a Must: Don't lose 2/3 your income in 1 month

@Trud09, have you considered finding another manufacturer to produce your product? If you can make some improvements/modifications to make it your own, perhaps you can grow the sales instead of watching it decline...

    INVESTING
If I understand your question correctly, you're wondering if Index Funds (like ETF's) or lending (like the Lending Club) are a better store of your $$$. Read this GOLD thread: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/sorry-but-the-forum-cant-make-your-life-decisions-for-you.33485/...

If this is such a good seller and the supply chain is so problematic, why not design your own version and have it made at the supplier of your choosing? You really don't need to have the current product "reverse engineered" if you can find some technical talent on a freelance website. You can...

    Health Insurance Plans

    HEALTH
My insurance is thru my J.O.B. at the present, and it's a mixed bag. For my family, we chose the HDHP with the HSA and our cost is $290/mo. (I prefer the highest deductible and lowest monthly premium.) If you can believe what the company says they pay for their portion of the premium...

Exit the slowlane - My progress thread

    SLOWLANE EXECUTION
Nay-Sayers aside, I hope you are successful in your venture. Three months isn't really enough time to flesh out a concept, but if it's only a learning project, then bringing it to completion might not be necessary. If you really think this has potential, stick with it until the market tells you...
