Working through my biggest mental block. Here it is.

I think it's like an Erikson style psycho- social development thing. You're operating on the next developmental level, while some are still wrestling with the resolution in earlier stages. They may even feel that moving on to the next level is a sign of aging. It's emotional and intellectual...

How to find investors for my lawn care company

Shit... I was hoping to score a master franchise in the Boston market before they start selling for $250k a pop.

    MARKETING
We sort of operate on different philosophical wavelength here. Please stick around and absorb some of the culture. You'll find tons of tips for marketing and all that, but you'll discover so much more. Most of us are here because of MJ Demarco's books Millionaire Fastlane and unscripted. Very...

You may require medical attention. Like not even joking. Edit: I'm sincerely not being a dick. I swear.

How does a 22-yr-old scientist find business insights? MBA? Meet-ups?

Back when I was a technical recruiter working on their job requirements, Arizona State was automatic interview, and the job was almost always theirs, if they wanted it. They pay HUGE too, on top of the work being mind blowingly interesting. :)

How does a 22-yr-old scientist find business insights? MBA? Meet-ups?

ASML in Wilton, CT loves Arizona State Optical grads. I would imagine she's already been scouted by them several times already though.

    Too Personal?

View: https://youtu.be/TMHseTcZdJ4 Thanks for sharing, and it's awesome that you're over coming where you came from and want to use it to empower yourself and others. I'm sure that many of us here can identify with one element or another in your story.

Which job should you pursue until you can live from entrepreneurship

    SIDE HUSTLE
I was there for about 5 years (technical recruiter firm). It was long enough to get starter level grasp on: hearing and saying "no", to get a feel for it all basically a numbers game, and to learn how to quickly get past people's guard to figure out what problems they actually needed solved...

How to find investors for my lawn care company

    HOT!
How much would it cost to start an identical (franchise) operation @Johnny boy ? Maybe selling master franchise ops to guys in the other national markets, who in turn sell individual crew operations to smaller operators, could put $20k+ x 100 major markets in your pocket. Way over my head...

Monogamy. The idea of loving only one woman all your life?

    IDEA
I see a lot of the older "Men's Room" threads getting bumped. If I may be so bold... This forum is like a Shaolin Temple. There's dudes out in the courtyard teaching kids to do flying somersault kicks and shoot fireballs. As a newcomer, I wouldn't personally want to get too caught up...

@lunga ngcobo is solving some problems down in South African townships presently. He'd probably have some excellent insights about how you can start small to get the ball rolling, possibly together if you've got some ideas for reliable power supply already. Welcome aboard! :)

Feels a little zero sum... Maybe take a little time everyday to reflect and feel satisfied about what you've added to the world for others that day instead of only reveling in what you've won away from your fellow man? In theory, every win for you (sale, piece of content created, deal...
