Atlas Shrugged Week 1: Ch 1-2

    HOT!
I think it's definitely the future as Ayn envisioned it at the time of writing. I think she did a great job of not making it too fantastical, like the jetsons or what have you.

Atlas Shrugged Week 1: Ch 1-2

    HOT!
Any further analysis (a bit of a misnomer because I'm not very smart... I've just read it already), other than how I feel, will absolutely blow up a few people's perceptions of what's going to happen. I'll just talk about how I feel like it's a book report or something. :) I will say though...

Atlas Shrugged Week 1: Ch 1-2

    HOT!
Having already read it, and then just repurchasing it yesterday and having already reading to far ahead ( I couldn't help myself :( ), I can't really say too much. I love Dagny and Hank so much. The things they're capable of, in the face of a world that should be empowering them but instead...

    Rich Dad's latest scam?

    OFF-TOPIC
Haha. Yeah... I'm guilty of roping a few family members into it too. I thought I was the shit, and so did they, because I owned a few houses at 23. Little did we all know, I wasn't awesome; the credit markets just forgot to take their psych meds. Don't even misses "the good times"...

    Rich Dad's latest scam?

    OFF-TOPIC
We should all get together and play a game! The game mechanic of it raining 3bed/ 2baths that double in value every payday really recharges my optimism. :D

You bought the $200 board game too? :D I was beginning to think I was his only sale. Ahhh... to be young again.

Need Help With Product in Tabletop RPG Space

@amp0193 is the level 9 wizard here. I'm Just like a level 2 scrub with no +1 gear. Can you get your own website operational fairly quickly, and make sure all of your sales and listings on etsy and the dm site point to your site? Also, make sure you're saving all of the emails for later use...

Need Help With Product in Tabletop RPG Space

It seems like you're mostly driving your own traffic to start, but here's some things I've learned over the years to grab Etsy search traffic. In my experience, you should make sure your item titles include the most likely term people on Etsy will be searching for, as well as specifically what...

Need Help With Product in Tabletop RPG Space

I get it. The dmguild is like a marketplace, right? Are there any popular blogs that cater to the niche that sell banner advertising or similar? If you've already got a bunch of content, it could be a way of dipping your toe in affordably to see if it flies. Also, etsy does digital...

Need Help With Product in Tabletop RPG Space

How much does advertising cost on those sites? If you could offer weekly adventure starts, delivered via email, for a reasonable monthly subscription price, and you focus on really build a brand around what you do, this could probably be a legitimate fastlane endeavour. Edit: I see...

I get that, and I suppose I'm an inconsistent and economically focused cherry picker, despite being an agnostic personally. Take what works (for me) and leave the rest isn't the worst thing in the world, right?

    HOT!
Haha. The faith/ religion aspect has really taken center stage. I'm with @Kak , in that I didn't see faith/ religion vs reason as a primary focus of the book. Maybe I missed something? Full disclosure: I'm a seeking agnostic, if that factors in somehow.

The Asher Burke/Ads Inc story and business model

Man... could that article have stated just one more time that the founder was a Republican? I don't think the once per paragraph they did mention it was enough.

I'm just going to follow your lead on this one. :D The last time I discussed the book, and its philosophy, it was with a group of communists on facebook back in 2011. Seemed like a cool group until that point... Turned out to be a bunch of Occupy zombies. Presumably, any discourse here...

In the strict confines of that scenario; however, the market wins as a whole by the most helpful participant helping the most people. Advertising itself isn't going to lift a lousy value proposition to market leader status, at least not until you're Geico level with all the advantages of...
