A question on VPS, IPs and Locations

Oh, wow, that's very cool - Good thing I asked. I appreciate it man!

    SEO question

    WEB/DIGITAL
I want to expand upon this. Atleast for my view of it. The days of SEO use for business are quickly going to be gone. It's not going to be about the top person on google for business much longer. Search engines as we know it will certainly still be valuable for seeking knowledge though...

    SEO question

    WEB/DIGITAL
I know little to nothing about SEO so feel free to disregard what I say. It's simply some thinking out loud type of post. First and foremost it's essential to see if merely comments, regardless of content helps influence the ranking. Jonlee said it probably doesn't so the next bit could be...

A question on VPS, IPs and Locations

    WEB/DIGITAL
Yeah, they'll PHP scripts, just simple tasks like removing accounts that signed up, but never activated it after a week (or whatever). Now this leads me to another question. What sort of tasks would you automate on windows? I'm assuming it's not tasks like I'd be using the PHP scripts for...

A question on VPS, IPs and Locations

    WEB/DIGITAL
Ahh, ok thanks! Was just curious, because pretty soon I'll be needing to incorporate automated scripts for my website. So when the opportunity arises I ask. With very limited research atm it's looking like Cron is the most likely thing to use.

Why the interest in specifically Windows?

A question on VPS, IPs and Locations

    WEB/DIGITAL
Just give it time, and see if it does fix itself first. Keep in mind though that location by IP isn't really too accurate. Heck, a quick search for a couple online had one showing me in Kansas, and the other in New York (which is correct, but wrong city). Quick Question - Let's say it is in...

    Forum Update - Information Here

    HOT!
Any way to change the default font size for the posts? I took a quick look and couldn't find anything in my options. Looks great though. Also, I never like things for Facebook, so be happy I made an exception! :P

    EXECUTION
Suppose I'll post a quick update about this. I'm currently working on something that wasn't the intent, because it'll allow a much larger test base. At it's core it'll be pretty much the same thing. The valuable part of this is a different take on how to track workouts on the computer...

Even the Bible states what the mind is capable of

    MINDSET
The idea of 'spiritual accelerants' and 'supernatural laws' is where discussion like this becomes unproductive. It's an idea that you cannot control what will happen, and that it just happens. Let's assume this is true. Now, we quickly get to the idea that believing a specific thing will...

    Any Front-End Web Developers?

    WEB/DIGITAL
It'll definitely be quite a bit of work. That's why I also want to find someone passionate about the idea, and can deal with it as only part of their portfolio if it doesn't end up working. I don't see that happening though. :smxB: Some things that need to be done would be: -Client-side form...

    Any Front-End Web Developers?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Ha, I know I said I'm on a hiatus, but it's an important question. :P Trying to manage, (continue to) learn, and also code in Javascript\PHP and using AJAX\CSS\HTML it's becoming a mess of 'good enough' for me on this project. I can do it, but it'd certainly be much better if I did the...

    OFF-TOPIC
Need to take a break from the internet as anything but a tool to find answers to things I don't know. Just wanted to let everyone know, so they don't think I gave up on the fastlane! This forum would no doubt be beneficial, but I know giving myself any leeway I unconsciously manage to get on...

    FUNNY
@Jonlee - that last little bit was more rambling due to sleepiness\insomnia rather than directed toward you. There has to be some reason selecting specific images aren't used though. Although, I cannot really think of any valid reason. The only reason being a language barrier, but have a...

A shift to something like identifying specific objects would certainly be a good. At the end of the day though, people are going to figure out a way to circumvent any barrier, and why not just work on blocking the basic bots. I remember in a game I used to play, a person creating a system...

    Credit Card Processors

    WEB/DIGITAL
Just curious if anyone has any recommendation for a credit card processor for websites? I want something that I can integrate into my website (has an API) and not direct to their own website. Still a ways away from needing it, but on a night I'm too pumped to sleep, and too tired to program...

Had to look at your answer to *really* see the answer to that. haha Sadly, I don't really think it'd be too hard for an OCR to figure out. It's only a slight wave in the center of the text... Granted I haven't done much learning about OCRs...

What are you up to now?

Haha, temperature wise being very high is never as uncomfortable as the number would make you think. It's always the humidity that's a bitch, as you've learned! Being from Iceland you don't have to worry about the combo, do ya? :P
