Lex DeVille's: How to Make $1,000 a Week with no Degree, no Feedback, & no Portfolio.

    GOLD! SIDE HUSTLE
I'm expecting the first couple of jobs to be the hardest ones to get. Luckily, this client has said he has a couple other things I could work on that could go on my portfolio if I do well on this project.

Bought a huge house with a 3 car garage and a pool!

    GOLD! MINDSET
Awesome first step. When I first started reading about stocks and the market, the most common trap I saw for new investors was never cutting their losses, the dead cat theory. I know I mentioned freelancing before, but if you haven't, read this thread...

Pay cash for a car or get a loan (case study with my Ferrari)

I'm Emptying My Account and Selling My Stocks

    EXECUTION
I am currently working on a blog, writing eBooks and I'm working with a partner on a web based service. All three of these ventures require start-up funds to get the success I'm looking for. Find Investors or Web Developers First?

I'm not suggesting he do the whole thing himself, rather just build a MVP to attract interest of a web dev or investor to hire a web dev, rather than pitch them on an idea and email list gathered.

Find Investors or Web Developers First?

PM me and I can give you some specific advice to get you started if you're interested. It's probably not "too complex" for you, you just don't have the experience to understand how to tackle it.

Find Investors or Web Developers First?

Also whats stopping you from building the MVP yourself, then getting either a good investor or web designer/dev to fall in love with it and sign on? It'd take too long and it'd be too tough?

Trying to help a buddy with a business. Need your advice

Like you said, some people have to fail to see the err in their ways. If he doesn't listen to your advice, buy the business (or flat out let him fail, but thats more cutthroat) and do it yourself. Let him hang around and see how it should work. .

Find Investors or Web Developers First?

Hire a developer to build a MVP. Then build from there

Have you considered Freelancing instead of the extra OT? You could grow your income faster that way (potentially) and it would give you a better lead into separating yourself from your job and into the Fastlane, and of course you could Freelance in your other free time as well, whereas you can't...

@DaRK9 Do you just call/email along the lines "I'm a freelance copy writer, etc. etc."? What's typically your opening approach to starting/creating contact?
