    Interesting Problem

    WEB/DIGITAL
Hey all. I created an economic model that examines revenue generated from income tax vs sales tax for a competition at my school. Now I'm looking to find someway to make profit. I could sell the software, but at most I would only generate a few hundred dollars over time because it wouldn't sell...

    Advice for beginner App developers

    INTRO
I do have alot going on, but I use my free time wisely mostly. The only problem with a Hackintosh, i've thought of the same thing (I am a programmer first and just recently have I gotten into finance/economics/business), is that I don't know anyone with the installation disks/a newer Mac. I'm...

    Advice for beginner App developers

    INTRO
I have a question, figured itd be good here. My app wont be successful without going iOS. Period. But I dont have a mac, and I have very little startup funds. I'm working on doing consulting and that kind of thing but its proven dreadfully slow (in hs btw, so alot of time is taken by normal day...

    Employees Working In Your House?

    HOT! PEOPLE
The only way this would work, IMO, if your employees were long-time friends who had been to your house and you are comfortable with them there. They'd also be the ones that, if your business became large, would be the top level guys.

3D printing unborn babies (looking for partners)

You could run into legal trouble if you, say for example, claim "This will improve psychology of pregnant women" without testing it. Instead, if you don't test, use phrases like "Could improve psychology", "Improved psychology in our experiences, but experiences differ" etc.

3D printing unborn babies (looking for partners)

Be careful making claims like that in the U.S., dont speak in absolutes without testing! The project is interesting but I dont have experience, just wanted to drop that note. Good luck

    Game Development Fastlane?

    EXECUTION
With that logic, just become a Web developer and launch the next facebook or Google.

How would you utilize these skills and experiences to make money?

Do with hospitality what you do with fitness. Write an ebook "How I travel the world and get paid doing it" or something. Hold web seminars, blogs, etc and teach about hospitality, sociability, networking skills, etc. Build and grow from there

    Game Development Fastlane?

    EXECUTION
I don't think there's anyway game dev is fastlane. Do it as a hobby, maybe find some friends, but don't mortgage your house. Going viral on mobile is a crap shoot and to build anything for mobile or pc will be very expensive. Especially because you aren't an amazing programmer or artist or sound...

[AMA] Importing & wholesaling for resale on eBay.

    GOLD! SOURCING
Do you guys typically have more success rebranding as your own brand or does it come to not matter that much, or even hurt? If you do rebrand, at what point do you do so?

Your take on launching 2 businesses with a friend?

    HOT!
I am starting a consultant business. My plan is to productize and pass clients to employees (who are my friends, but they're not partners). Turn that into income with me doing very minimal work then use money generated from that to get into importing, and if i bring a friend there, (s)he will be...

Maybe someone can help set me straight?

Why not develop your own products that are better? Sounds like you're being used on the productize-ing of your service. Take a look at my post...I said 1. Consult 2. Productize 3. Hire/teach 4. Give them a % and/or salary 5. Profit Sound familiar? Sounds like you were a result of 3 and are now...

Maybe someone can help set me straight?

Why not productize your digital marketing ability? Maybe start a consulting firm, teach some people, use people skills and get clients, give to the people you taught, give them 30% as salary and while theyre dealing with clients you have seminars (web or otherwise), write an ebook, etc

If I have an idea should I post it here? Also need feedback

    IDEA
You can, or you can not. It's up to you, really. But there are a ton of threads about how your idea isn't worth a billion, it's execution (which, to me, is partly true).

Cost of Developing an App Across All Platforms

    WEB/DIGITAL
They do have more storage space, but it's not that big of a deal. Really. A higher chance of running into bugs....that one does not make any sense. Programming in Xamarin is just like programming in both different platforms. Sure both UIs are different, and if you require different UIs, you...

Cost of Developing an App Across All Platforms

    WEB/DIGITAL
Sorry, but the above is wrong. Do research, Xamarin allows both native features and such a slight performance boost the only thing it will matter is for 3D games, and those shouldn't be coded wtih Xamarin anyway.

    eCommerce and Gaming

    EXECUTION
I think the key will be how much of the virtual rare items you can sell to people. Good luck to you! You could also expand to others servers, and allow others to host under you (They pay for server cost, but are under your brand, so they get more attention. Ofc this will require to build your brand)

    eCommerce and Gaming

    EXECUTION
How much time do you put in a week? How much do the servers, promotion, etc. costs? If you broke it down, this seems like something you can do instead of just gaming, not a true business. IMO, anyway.

    Srs dessert delivery

Where do you live? How far away from a major city, or a college town? If you can't get there in atleast under 30 minutes to start, you're not going to be successful. Plus, you'll have to get a good profit margin on the cakes while you're driving to cover gas, cake costs, etc. If you have a shop...

    Srs dessert delivery

Big city and/or college town. Insomnia Cookies for example. Good idea IMO, but will require great execution and high overhead costs
