Got the Golden Handcuffs and Can't Get Free...

    HOT! EXECUTION
@Ocean Man If I remember correctly you are living at home too? That's another 2k a month (ish) saving in Seattle. Pump that money into a property hold it for (2 years I think it is in the states?) and then sell it on tax free. You could rent out rooms too if you are bothered or have friends...

The war against your self esteem

    NOTABLE! HOT! MINDSET
Can’t remember the exact quote but it goes along the lines of “saying affirmations in the mirror won’t make you a confident person. Having an undeniable stack of proof that you are who you say you are builds confidence”. I wasn’t the most confident person during my teenage years. Then when I...

    Elon Musk acquires Twitter, Discuss

    HOT! SOCIAL MEDIA CHAT
I’m still bullish on Twitter. I think my original thoughts further back on the thread still stand. Twitter isn’t going anywhere. X is now the name of the overall brand/parent structure. Similar to how Facebook, Instagram, Threads exist within Meta (metaverse). Google, Youtube exist within...

BAD advice you wish you did NOT hear

    HOT! MINDSET
I think for a lot of people developing the discipline of a sleep schedule can be a good thing. If they are messy in all areas of life then bringing structure to this one part helps reduce other problems. It's the first example to a lot of people of regaining power over their own lives instead of...

    Is the suit dead?

    OFF-TOPIC
People used to wear suits to impress people of higher socioeconomic status. Then the trend reversed when Zuckerberg and the new tech wealthy dudes showed that the boss wears what he wants. People followed the trend and wanted to wear business casual. I think the trend has been reversing again...

BAD advice you wish you did NOT hear

    HOT! MINDSET
Morning routines, super early wake up times are how you are successful in business. Maybe I'll see the benefit of following that advice in years to come but as a 25 y/o my life is way more fun and I'm making more money than ever before staying up late working or socializing/traveling. My...

    I Probably Shouldn’t Indulge

    INTRO
How much are you saving per month? Put money aside into a fund so at least you'll have options when you do decide to change your current environment or go into business. Iv heard stories of people living at home financing mega car purchases and spending all their monthly paycheck on nonsense. At...

Is the oppurtunity to get rich window actually closing?

    MINDSET PEOPLE QUESTION
For most of human history up until 100 years ago where you were born and who you were born to were massive determinants of how successful you were in life. The modern middle class is an anomaly. If you were born a peasant 200 years ago, you'd die a peasant. Make the most of the opportunities...

Working in Real Estate (investing, management, airbnb's etc), I have ended up doing a lot of the work on some of the properties myself. GOLD! HOT! ASSERTION
There are very big examples of where the theory of property prices are "guaranteed" to go up are just flat out wrong. If you want a case study to learn from look at Japan. Demographics started trending the other way and house prices/stock market have been stagnant since the 90's. In the US...

Spent a few days in Athens, Greece and everybody rides motorbikes because of the traffic.
